Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. This gave me tears, but any old tears but tears of the "My Little Dashie" variety. I know how Colgate must feel and you've done and excellent expressing this! I hope this question doesn't bring up any sort of bad memories and I don't mean to pry, but have you had somebody near you kill themselves? Now in an attempt to cheer myself up I will rate the story.
10/10 Happy Rainbow Dash's.

I found this to be really...weird. It seems so harsh and angry compared to the generally whimsical tone of the show, even when dealing with heavier topics. And it wasn't even tragic in a way that made me feel for the characters, but rather a way that made me feel uncomfortable.

All the swears and f-bombing didn't help, either.

I thought that was a Minuette tag.
I'm sorry, but that cost you your instant fave.
Looks interesting, will read later.

:fluttercry:Another well wrought story. The next chapter should to be good.

I read this while listening to the classic funeral march theme. I'd say, it was simply unbearable. Not to be misunderstood ofc, the story is very well written.
But the pain and sorrow i felt :raritydespair:

Omigod the FEELS!:fluttercry:

Wut. I never committed suicide, lol xD

WOW! good job at completely alienating an entire group of people dedicating to protecting children from abuse and maltreatment from people not fit to look after themselves, let alone others. Unless of course i have read this wrong, if I have, disregard above statement.

Grief makes people do stupid things. These are, of course, Colgate's opinions on them. In her eyes, he ruined her life and took Berry from her. A muse's opinions don't have to match a writer's.
If I lost someone close to me, I'd find someone to blame. Given that she thought the social worker was laughing at her pain, as stated in the story, Colgate shoved the blame onto him, and, because Berry mattered so much to her went utterly insane. Moments of insanity aren't uncommon in people hurting, after all.
I'm genuinely just rambling, but since this is a POV kind of story, even though it's in third person, it's going to be expected that a character's going to have a strong opinion.
