Silver Letter

I am a student of writing and I hope someday to be able to become an actual writer of fiction.

T

It has been years since Twilight's coronation but while she continues to be a strong presence in town, life goes on. Peppermint Twist is older now and is prepared to take a leap into the next stage of life, full of the many obstacles that it brings. Sweetie Drops will always be there to help her out. And with that, a touch of sugar can make things all better in the small town of Ponyville where they have always lived. Twist will realize its strength and her potential to be a force of friendship on her own right. It will be fine as long as she doesn't make things a little two sweet.

[This is an episodic series starting with Peppermint Drops 2. Image courtesy of Smash-N-Dash at DeviantArt.com. I won it from a writing contest some time ago for the purposes of eventually using it for this story. Feedback is strongly encouraged for anybody that bothers reading this story. Thank you.]

Episode Descriptions:
Peppermint Drops 2: Reintroduces the pairings of Sweetie Drops and Twist. It's a very special day ahead for them.
A Wise Friend: Twist goes to her friend, Zecora, for advice.
The Madness of Miss Cheerilee: Twist comes to grips with the damage that time and neglect can do to a relationship.
Rainbow Road: A horrible drought has come to Ponyville. Twist looks towards Rainbow Dash for help in the ensuing crisis.
New Summers of Change: A special colt named Raptor Red faces the unique challenge of growing up.
Cake Wars: The Cakes and Pinkie Pie split up and they both vie for the attention of the town and Sweetie Drops.
An Ill Apple: Apple Bloom, Twist's oldest friend, reveals very shocking news and asks for her help to track down a pony who left to the Horseshoe Bay.

I didn't do anything to deserve a negative vote. People that vote without giving a reason should be banned.

And also just 20 views? Thanks for nothing, guys. :raritywink:

The main reason why people don't really pay attention to this is because you chose two ponies that no one really cares about. I don't hate them, but I don't consider them special.
What happens in this story is kind of lack luster. Nothing special happens. It's like reading the boring life of someone else.
At the beginning, I just felt like giving up this story, it didn't have that little hook that would make me want to keep reading, but I did because I wanted to give this a chance.
This is well written, but it's written in a certain way that it's just weird to me. People that read stories here are more likely between the ages of 15 an 30. They would prefer a something that's been written in a more simple way.
And about the negative vote... I once received a comment telling me to kill myself just because I wrote "I'm bad with summaries". There are all kind of people out there who do as they please, you can't help it. It will happen even if your story is the greatest shit out there.

I'm just unpopular around here. Nobody likes my stories. I think this series is going to be the last I'll contribute to this site.
Other people get views with obscure characters so that reason alone isn't enough.
This site just doesn't like me for some reason.

I just hit the author's tab on the sideā€¦ Looks like you've got at least four stories with a reasonable amount of views.

There's a lot of competition, not everyone gets a ton of views and a spot in the featured box.

Don't misunderstand me. I'm not arrogant enough to think I'll ever be featured. I just think I should get more views at least. But few wants to give my stories a chance.
