Twilight Sparkle begins her routine cleanup and stumbes upon a room she was never supposed to find, a room of multiple Tomes from Fire Emblem. But these tomes are a bit more than they seem. They are darker than you'd at first believe.

There's no way Spike would be hurt by that. He's really tough and he can bathe in molten magma without ill effects.

I'm sure theres a difference between magma and artificial magic created fire.

Okay, strong start. I'd have been here sooner, but Monster Hunter tends to make me lose track of time. Oops. Anyway, on with the rambling. The grammar was decent throughout, but you should probably invest some time in making certain points a bit less awkward. The first paragraph has two examples. You used the word floor twice in the same sentence and the word noticed twice too close to each other. Varying up your word choice makes it a smoother read.
Come on, Twilight, don't be afraid of the Levin Sword. That thing's awesome! Carried me through the middle chunk of Awakening well enough. And Spike, you're slacking. Everyone knows you're the guy who always finds the secret library passages.
To answer your debate with one Eonflare, I present a solution. It looks to me that it isn't the heat of the fire itself that hurt Spike, but the kinetic energy of its movement. I don't care what you are, an explosion is going to leave a mark.
I've only ever played Awakening, so most references to other games in the series will, unfortunately, be lost on me. The whole perma-death thing always made me nervous. Regardless, I'm reading on. I look forward to the next update.
