Dick Grayson has lost everything. His home, his parents, and all to a greedy criminal. Recognizing the dire state Equestria is in, he transforms himself into Nightwing in order to protect the one thing left that he can call home. But to people looking on from the outside, it almost looks like a Nightmare Moon-esque transformation, and Nightwing soon finds himself on the wrong side of the law, with even the Elements of Harmony siding against him. In order to protect Equestria, however, he will have to cross lines he never thought he could...
A re-imagining of the Batman universe, in which the story takes place in Equestria, and Bruce Wayne never existed. Humans have horns and wings and stuff.

So if Nightwing were to save Cadance or help out Shining, then he would could make a more or less decent Gordon. Minus the aged wisdom, willingness to not blindly follow the rules and basically everything else that make Gordon cool. Maybe an OC if you are planning to go there?

god dammit, I want more of this great fanfic. The characters are enjoyable to see, the humanized world you've created works well, and these chapters just keep getting better and better. Now since you're making nightwing out to be batman like, will we be seeing any batman like villains? Joker? Bane? Scarecrow? or maybe catwoman? any would do and with the universe you've created, they could be brought forth. Hope to see more soon, keep goin and stay golden^^
P.S. Will you be incorporating any of the 'dark knight returns' ideas into the story? With the whole 'everyone against me' kind of nightwing you've built, it would be possible to have a throwback to the famous comic.

Speaking of the next update, I am going to favorite this because the plot behind it sounds interesting. HOWEVER, until it is completed, I am going to give it a thumbs down. Because while I may approve of the plot behind the story, I DO NOT approve of the fact that it has been 1 year and 215 days since the last update. I mean, I understand that greatness can't be rushed, but needing 580 days in order to update the next chapter means one of three things. A: You've given up on the book (this is the most likely scenario). B: You've decided to come out with the rest of the book on the Christmas of the next year (from the year that this book was first published [This is the least likely scenario]). Or C: You're dead (this is a scenario with a 50% probability chance, seeing as how people die everyday.) If option C makes you feel uncomfortable than that means two things. You are obviously not dead, and I am sorry for having that be one of the three possibilities.
Also, don’t give up! Your fans deserve better! I, of course, meant that in the best and most encouraging possible way.
