For countless millennia, the royal sisters of Equestria have built and defended their nation with their own blood, sweat, and tears. But as the sands of time shifted, the sisters became more focused on the well-being of their nation, and left its defense to the military. When nightmare moon appeared, however, she was too much for the military to handle, and a new set of defenders arose. The Elements of Harmony. After banding together and successfully vanquishing Nightmare Moon, The Elements of Harmony have kept Equestria safe ever since. However, an old terror for eons ago has risen once more, and his power may be enough force Celestia and Luna to pick up the battlesword once more and fight for their nation. The land of Equestria.
Takes place during & after Season 6. The story will branch off of show canon from the season 6 finale, and will exist in it's own alternate universe from there. (I hope that makes sense!)

I feel for redundancies sake, I should say this here in the comments so more people know. I will typically post updates on new chapters or progress on them on my blog. Dracarthus seems like an opponent that will make more than just one princess sweat. Your setting of Equestria and events is good too.
Form-wise, be aware that there are some unintentionally duplicated words in the text, but that's a minor issue. What I'd point out are the descriptions - the reader can picture what was Dracarthus doing with the runes to small details, that was a well-done description. However, when it comes to Luna panicking about the shadows, I think far more detailed description on what she did with her magic wouldn't hurt

Tell me, how does it came that all the chapters with Dracarthus are far more interesting? This one was packed full with worldbuilding, action, lil' gore and a new mystery at hoof, great!
Spotted a few non-capitalized 'I's and such, but I reckon pointing the mistakes is a little redundant, given the 'under rewrite' state of the story.
