Just something I thought I should point out.
If they are in pony form, mentioning that it was shaven wouldn't be right, especially since their whole body is covered in fur. So, when you say shaven, I think that all of her body except that one area is covered in fur. Be sure to watch yourself when describing characters that are not human because you wouldn't use a lot of the same words or adjectives to describe what you might see.
Also, try avoid using punny words as some of them actually exist within the fandom and others don't.
From the many stories that I have read, reviewed, and edited, never once have I seen the word "marecum" appear as a word (probably because it sounds weird). So try sticking to show-accurate puns or the most common play-on-words used within the fandom.

and it's really a personal preference considering there is no show term for it.

As there shouldn't be a show term for it. No matter how it's used or said, cum is just cum. To make a pun or play-on-words out of any word you could possibly think to change takes away from the story.
If you could name these 'more than 50%' fictions that used this word, I can give you the ones I know that don't have them, and we can see how well more than 50% holds. I can give you benefit of the doubt, and agree that maybe 20% of the stories uses marecum, but over 50% is not the right number for someone who reviews and edits stories. Unless I miraculously randomly picked ones that didn't have the word in it; if that's the case, then what a stroke of luck. Sadly, even past all this, preference does not excuse the creation of words to milk puns to the point of beating dead horses.
