I facepalmed and told him that I’d only play along if the entire army was composed of mares. He smiled, and I saw his horn shimmer for a moment and then he released a firework in the air, dispelling the illusionary magic that made every guard look the same. What lay before me was thousands of mares, all of them looking excited for what was about to happen.
