Twilight received a letter from Princess Celestia, requesting her presence in Canterlot for a matter of great importance. What is revealed is something that will permanently change the way that Twilight sees the world.
This story takes place between Magical Mystery Cure and the first Equestria Girls movie and assumes that everything thereafter never happens. Human tag is for additional characters.
This is my first stand-alone one-shot, so I hope that it goes over well. Regardless, I would be grateful if you were to tell me how I did, and where I stand to make improvements. Thank you for your time.

6032055 Thanks. To be honest, I wasn't sure if people would enjoy that ending, but it seems that so far, the reception's been decent.
I've seen people connect these two before, but this was a rather nice way to do it. I thought the reunion moment at the end could have been a bit longer, but it was still a nice story. It does raise a lot of question. Like why so many friends fell into the same mould, where the other sapient inhabitants came from, but it doesn't detract from the story.
6032472 I was hesitant to even make it a reunion or even draw connections between the worlds in the first place, so to me, at least while I was writing it, it almost felt strained. As for the other inhabitants, I mostly left it to the readers, but I see them as other friends that were under the same circumstances. Finally, the similarities come from the human mind, originally, there were differences, but over time, they gained more similarities in features than they had differences.
This was a great idea, though i'm surprised no one had done it yet. It seems obvious in hindsight
6034138 I thought that it had been done, but was unable to find any stories like it on this site. Honestly, it just kind of came to me the night before I put it out and I ended up spending most of the next day writing it.
