Dinky Doo shares her point of view of her mother as to how awesome she is. But most importantly, how grateful she is to have her as her mother.

That was so beautiful in its own way. I commend you for making something so sweet on Mother's Day :heart::fluttercry:

Dinky sounds a bit too wise to write something like that. Still, beautiful work

That was amazing. Just. Freaking. Amazing. Favorite-ing this one so I can read it again next year.

Beautiful story, here. :fluttercry: Dinky, you did Derpy proud.

I'm sorry. :fluttercry:

I took advantage of the fact that Dinky's character isn't that quite developed yet. I know she is just a filly, but we never knew her "intelligence level" to begin with.

I imagined her to be an intelligent filly because when a pony express their emotions like that, anything can occur correct?

Also, which pony said that Dinky didn't have help with her speech? Never stated so shouldn't be assumed. :twilightsheepish:

[I'm a bit surprised that nopony caught the cannon + moon reference though :trollestia:]

This is good I read another mother's day fic with Derpy and Dinky but this one is just as good, great job my friend.

Not to be rude or anything, but I didn't quite understand what you said.

Can you please rephrase it? :derpyderp1:

And I'm glad you liked it.

585708 Still, it would've been nice if Dinky mentioned Derpy trying to help her daughter with her during the making of her paper (speech), it would've provided a more touching feeling to the story.

True. A filly or child can be a bright person. I was meant that more often than not, a filly or child usually don't have the strongest words in their disposal, or the best understanding of them. I digress, its fine that your imagination decided Dinky as a more wiser individual than other fillies.

Help from Derpy herself would be nice....

But coming from Dinky's point-of-view, I believe she'll rather keep the speech as a surprise for her mother for that specific day instead. Tried to make it a bit realistic on that part. Like, what would Dinky do if I was in her hooves if you know what I mean....

Edit: Saving the "Derpy helping Dinky with speech" idea for a future story. Guess what June 17, 2012 happens to be?

Also, hint: :twilightsheepish: That certain pony did help~ Though, not stated, up to readers like you to come up with.

This just reminded me how much I hate my mom...

wow, this was awesome... really fitting for mother's day.

Thanks for liking it!

Didn't quite stand out as a Mother's Day fiction though. :twilightblush:

Oh wells~ :scootangel:

586540 I meant I read another fic about Derpy and Dinky that was released for Mother's day but your story was still good. :twilightoops:

Thank you for the rephrasing. :yay:

And as I stated before, I'm glad you liked it.

Anyone who down vote's has no soul!!!

3893753 It's true. I have no soul.

"objects of interest."
"She has no competition in that category."
"But I don’t quite blame her for it"
"I found that no pony cared to discover the reason "
"…She would listen to me whenever I’m feeling down and would offer me comfort as I cried into the night.
…She would let me ride her back at times, so that I could experience the thrill of being up in the air.
…She would not go to work if I happened to be ill, despite being economically troubled."

Children don't talk like this.

6324660 true enough, still a cute story though.

6325130 It depends what you want. To me it reads more like an inspirational chain email than a story. The author's long gone anyway.
