MiloSaysRelax

While busy failing my Maths degree, I started writing stories about ponies. Apparently, I can only write stories where some of the mane cast end up dead so....yeah, fair warning :D

T

In the clearing of an unnamed forest between Canterlot and Ponyville, the bodies of Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were found, along with the wreckage of a flying machine. The Royal Guard are claiming it was a tragic accident, but Twilight Sparkle suspects that there is more to it. Will she find an answer to a question that nopony asked, or is she just trying to distract herself from her own grief?

NNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I swear I've seen this before. This exact story.

Anyway, I don't go for the sad/grimdark that much so... abandon thread!

I saw this on EqD a while back. Are you still planning on finishing it? It's strange seeing it on FimFic now being as you haven't updated it. BUT -shrug- Either way, tracking.

I actually only heard of this site today, so I just thought I'd throw my stories on here too. But yes, more is coming, in fact, part 2 is almost finished.

I remember reading this ages ago. Glad to see it's being continued.

POST STORY: DAMN. This is starting to turn into CSI Ponyville!:coolphoto: But what does Celestia think of all of this?:trixieshiftright:

♫ Out here in the fields...

I fight for my meals...

I get my back into my living...

I don't need to fight...

To prove I'm right...

I don't need to be forgiven... ♫

HELL YEAH. I loved this fic when it was posted on EqD. Glad it's continuing!

or trying to escape from watch she found

should be "what"

Twilight quite like the silence in her library

should be "liked"

I think twilight reads way too many crime books.

Now THIS is a season finale!!!
where's the track button?

No, seriously. Where is it?

This is getting a far better reception than it did on EqD, I can tell you that :D

I like the title

Yes! Ever since I saw this on EqD, I couldn't wait for it to continue. Glad to see that it's back!

See, when I saw the title I thought it was going to be a pony version of 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead'. I guess not.

Pretty well so far. Few spelling errors and grammar mistakes, very few of them though, so have a favorite and a thumbs up

Man, that idea is solid gold. It would have to be background ponies though. Lyra and Bon Bon? The Flim Flam brothers?!

Back to the story at hand, though, as grimdark as it is I'm loving it. Can't wait for ch. 2

please make more

I thought the exact same thing. I got all excited about it. Comments have forced me to read it anyway though.

rosecrans and guildenstern are dead? That is the vibe that I am getting from this story...

Welp, you get another fav, author.:moustache:
Seriously, great job. I was waiting for a fanfic that could be a "learning about death" episode.

I really enjoyed that!:raritystarry: Original title though :moustache:

Besides the out of place scene with Spike being drunk, this is a surprisingly gripping mystery that actually has me engaged. Although, I just hope it isn't Gilda, but hopefully it won't be so obvious.

many manly tears have been shed... please continue this story. it's way to good to keep it hangin' as RD would've said. :fluttercry:

Is part 2 gonna be anger?

EDIT: Loved the story by the way

I thought this was going to be a pony parody of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead...and it wasn't...I can't bring myself to read this

I know who did it. Look at the tags.

I WANNA FINISH READING THIS!!!! CONTINUE!! :applejackconfused:

I'd like to inquire, will this be more about grieving and feelings, or will it be more about the mystery of what happens and the investigating?

(I am purposefully leaving unspecified which one I would rather see.)

I remember reading this on EqD a long time ago, glad to know it's being continued.

Kay, so I don't know how this website works, so I don't know if the people who have favourited/watched/commented will even see this but...well, it's here for when Chapter 2 eventually gets posted.

Firstly, thank you all for your wonderful feedback. After seeing some of the criticism on EqD when it was posted there, I was gonna shift focus back to my other story, but it's good to know that there are some fans of this one.

Secondly, thank you all for being...well, on the internet. One of the upsides of this whimsical world wide web is that no matter what you want to do, you'll find someone wanting to experience it. Taking a quote from House: "With the internet, if you ever wanted to recreate the Boston Tea Party as Imperial Stormtroopers, you can find the other ten people who always wanted to do that." So thank you all for being the people who like reading stories about ponies being brutally killed, it's made my first foray into the world of writing a much more educational one.

Thirdly, while Chapter Two is coming, I probably need to mention that frequent story updates to any of my stories (yes, there's a third one being written and another going through the conception stage in my head) are gonna be...well, infrequent. Long story short, I have a serious pile of IRL problems, I won't bore you with them right here, it'd probably bum you all out. That means that there might be periods of months (like this one) where I don't get any writing done, and I do apologise for those wanting to read more of this story. But frequent updates...hell, even the promise that these stories will ever be concluded, these are things I can't guarantee. Just thought I'd let you all know that before any more content gets posted.

Aaaaand, lastly, a few answers to questions that have been asked:

@clap2times: Yes, the second chapter is indeed called Anger, I figured somepony would see that one coming from far away.
@Autumn Wind: It was originally to be more about the investigation, but as the plot was forming in my head I felt that the odd bit of grieving/feelings had to be thrown in there. So there'll be elements of both, rough estimate, 60% investigation, 40% feelings.

Chapter Two is 80% complete. But the fact that I'm coming back to writing after a number of months means I'm a bit rusty, so I'm not promising deadlines. Just FYI, it is being worked on. Thank you all again, DFTBA!

:rainbowkiss: this is good thing to read

Intriguing, Milo, very intriguing. And well written, despite a few spelling mistakes.

EPIC!! Are you making a part 2? This has got me going!! Ready to read more!! :derpyderp2::derpyderp1:
