Awesome! This chapter was excellent! (Although I did miss Rarity's bad-ass-ery just a bit... I know she'll be back.) Celestia's back, yay! It's really good to see this characterisation of Celestia and Luna, because it's very different from the majority of stories. Celestia as someone useful is really good to see.

But do you know what I really, really want to know? Where is Spike? Thoughts of what he might be going through are disturbing... anyway, I really look forward to the next chapter, with the whole team being more amazing, and Celestia making her move. It's all very exciting! So I hope you update this very soon, though understandably it'll take a while for a chapter of the continued quality you produce.

Now I have to sit and wait... AGAIN...

It's implied incest at best. Amongst what best equates to 'Gods'. That and even that's somewhat dubious considering that Emperyan seemingly popped up out of nowhere. I'm not even referring to him being granted all of Celestia's powers so much as the King and Queen 'made' him seemingly overnight.

It does state at some point that alicorns don't reproduce through mamallion means. Also the only incest would have been if Luna was forced to marry emperyen and even then it was common through out history for family to marry for political means. It's not as though they were bearing a son or daughter and even if they were they wouldn't actually be having sex. Granted the violence is heavy though the for isn't described to heavily. If it had visuals like if it were a movie or video game it would have to be 18+ but teen is acceptable here

Now aestheticB your story is amazing. Sparkle's law is cemented as my favorite comedy this story is now my favorite grim/war/action fic. You are also now one of if not the first favorite writer of mine. Thank you for this and keep up the great work

I've been trying a few styles myself, but it's hard to not just divide it up into 14 identical pieces, which it clearly is not. I'm wondering if it's a single edge piece without hilt (as a hilt would be fairly pointless seeing as it's fragmented, and telekin. wielded) or some stylized shape.

As far as the rating is concerned, "teen" is pretty ambiguous. The MPAA doesn't concern me; this is written fiction, and I'm Canadian. In cinema, this would undoubtedly be rated R, but to me at least, books have a lot more leeway. I see no problem with a fourteen-year-old reading books like The Dresden Files or The Sword of Truth, other than the fact that the latter are terrible. By my reasoning, this isn't a clopfic or a gorefic, so teen it gets.

104483: Yeah, I love fics like this one. The only fics that really deserve an 18+ are the ones that describe intercourse with disturbing detail or have really f***ing creepy gore scenes. I loled at "soon". Keep it up man, this is my favorite fic and I have read quite a few.

'Soon' is used far to often... but appropriate, and I wouldn't want anything else...

Still doesn't scratch this itch, but I'll comfort myself with a Twilight plushie or something...

If I were a betting pony (and I am) I'd say the next PMW will come between either January 13th-17th or January 24th-27. I gots a feelin about this one. Of course, He might just see this and push out the release a few days just to be that way. But I figure he'll either take a good standard two weeks, or maybe get delayed a single week.

You know what.... I got one more question... Chapter 10, the discussion between Twilight & Sparkle seemed to resolve her rather insane pacifism. Not that I didn't understand her misplaced motives, attempting to insure that she doesn't become Nihilus all over again...

Yet, Chapter 11, it seems to be back again in her discussion with Sir Unimpressive.

'“Look,” he cried. “A shameless distraction!”' I saw this and thought "Dr. Whooves, you're not a unicorn silly you". Now back to the story.

Hate to play a broken record, but I must say this is one of the best things I have read in awhile, I couldn't stop or get distracted (you know, the whole "ooooo, shiny" thing).

Oh you don't need to fix it, but gave me material to think about on how your "Sliver of Darkness" functions. Though apart from that I didn't run into too many things that made me look something like ---> . There were a couple places were words weren't quite right (i.e. though instead of thought) but for such a long story you can't get them all.

The book was titled "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss, I found it to be a very good read.

Also, I can't seem to figure out how to favorite (favourite for you English folk) a story, quite annoying (and a small assault on my intelligence).

It has been far too long since I have commented on this story. This is an absolute joy to read. AB, I am glad you of all people are writing this; the story is actually well constructed with a whole host of interesting, developed characters. That and... well... it's just really, really cool, haha. Ponies and Zack Snyderesque fight scenes? Makes my day every time.

There is a problem with this story caused by the last episode.

This must be fixed. Also, I'm wondering how Shining Armor's gonna fit in to all this.

The royal 'we' finally makes sense...

So I'm guessing this was written before Shining Armor was delivered to us out of thin air, right?

Also, I see how you use him as kind of a "break" in the darkness. I remember you saying on some blog a long ass time ago that you had to have comic relief or some kind of breather for the reader in a dark fic. I'm applying these lessons myself as I start my own projects.

I keep reading "Unimpressive's" lines with Sean Connery's voice... so funny.

Luna is taking a direct battle again enemy and she faked Twilight death to save her, finally a story what is not afraid of making Luna useful, a story what is not afraid to make Luna cooperate with mane 6 ( I really do not understand why so many fanfic autors are afraid to use Alicorn princesses as anything else then useless plot devices in they stories, having a powerful Alicorn assisting mane 6 will not break power balance in the story if it is used well ).

Celestia did not wait for Twilight to do all dirty work again and decided to be useful ( and it is a pity that Celestia was useful when she had no power and was tired and beat up, it make me afraid that whenever Celestia is powerful Alicorn in stories she is useless, but when she do not have her power, only them she is allowed to be more then useless plot device, I hope that in this story she will get her power back, because I really do not like the idea that Celestia can be badass only when she does not have her power and then become useless or lazy the moment she is powerful again ).

Also I like that Celestia regret of making Twilight and her friends do all dirty work and is willing to help ( sadly it does not break the rule of Celestia Alicorn being useless or lazy in all stories just because in this story she is not Alicorn any longer, so even if she is badass does not matter much ).

Also nice to see that Twilight is well respected and recognized for what she did and that ponies are willing to fight for her ( it is nice change when every pony want to protect Equestria instead of making Twilight and her friends do it without any assistance ).

All in all, I like that this story thrown out some pathetic clisheys out of the window.
