Amazing... just amazing.
SO AWESOME!

This is a Day Of MANY BRILLIANCE! I get to read Pooony, I get towatch Ziiiim, I really couldn;t be happier
Holy hell's freaking bells. That was amazing.... Just the epilogue left. This was my favorite ever fic. It'll be sad to see it end
Yay, it's not a grimdark ending.

So beautiful. I need to read this every day of my life.
The only thing I could think of during the final battle was the final battle in Inheritance(Eragon) between Eragon and the King

If it helps, Drakmire and I went through this exact scenario with that exact word before it was published.
AWMAHGAWD!!
Such a good chapter. I have no words to describe how epic and marvelous and beautiful and sad and just--! I have no words.
But I await the epilogue with a bitter sweetness that accompanies the ending of any good story.
this is definitly a story that I download and save
So unbelievably good, I don't have words it was just brilliant.
>> Singularity went out
you magnificent bastard, i'd forgotten about that chekhov's gun until you shot me in the face with it
I was surprised by Titan's death, but I suppose he made his choice
Glad the game is over. Time to take a look at the scoreboard...
Now if only that had happened at the end of Mass Effect 3...
This has been one hell of a ride!
DAMMIT DUDE! I HAD THINGS TO DO!
Sir, words cannot express the level of awesome this story has. Don't ever stop writing, you are amazing and I will never tire of your work.
I can't wait for this story to continue... The game has ended, but now we get to (hopefully/eventually) see how ponies heal the scars that have been made. I feel like a whole new story could be made describing how Equestria (and our main characters) deals with the aftermath, and it would be just as amazing.
Y-you amazingly magnificent person. You have just ruined every other story in this fandom for me. I'm finally free to do other things, but rest assured that I will download this story after the epilogue, put it on a flash drive, put it in a time capsule, and make sure that my children read this magnificent piece of art. I'd give you more praise but my paltry words would do no justice to what I truly feel at the time of reading this. Thank you AestheticB, thank you for everything you have done for us.
-Your ever loving fan, Kevin
P.S. If you ever decide to put this to paper in the form of a book, please let me know, as it would swiftly become the most treasured of my collection.
For a moment, I thought you were going to use a deus ex machina, but wow.
Foreshadowed cutie mark, foreshadowed magic skills, foreshadowed weapons.
Damn.

actually, this is as good a prompt to ask as any: you did a really impressive job keeping a long serial production coherent and even in quality. in particular, you managed to bullseye what i would call an extremely challenging ending, as it had to overcome both narrative epic creep, the successful conclusion of many loose plot threads, and the threat of deus ex machina (ironically, a god literally emerges from a machine)
most serial long-form fantasy (even "professional") gradually falls apart under a lack of planning, changing direction, etc. that didn't happen here, so it's obvious that you planned this out. but when did you start, and how far ahead, and to what extent were you working off notes, "writing the ending first", etc. initially and as the project developed? a "behind the scenes" blog post on the process would be really interesting to read.
Magnificent. Simply magnificent. Tension, adrenaline... I was literally shivering through the combat and conflict. And the climax... ending just how I hoped that it would. The epilogue will be nice to have, so that there's more to help one 'cool down' after that nail-biting final conflict.
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss so much win.
See this in featured? already read it?
instant fave and thumb.
plus ALL THE MUSTACHES!!

(19, I counted)
The most Epic climax to a story I've ever read, hands down!
I'm sure this will be brought up in the epilogue, but what about Discord? dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/discord.png
Also, I have a feeling Twilight isn't going to stay an alicorn, sadly.
I'm crying. This is me, these are my tears. My god.
you have a bad habit of updating just as im about to go to bed
Words can not describe this but ponies can

It’s a shame Titan had to die. In that state, he probably still could have become the manager of a fast food restaurant or something.
Hold on, there's an EPILOGUE? Sweet, more Immortal Game! Hopefully that'll address what happened to Discord, because that's definitely my biggest issue with the ending.
Fantastic ending. Eagerly looking forward to the epilogue, as others have said. Really thought you were going to kill Rarity off for real, for awhile there. Or have Twilight trade her life for Rarity's, somehow, right up until the end.
JMH
Well Titan sure took long enough to die, didn't he?
Gotta love Twilight's speech too.
Now I wanna see what they'll do with all that godhood.
Absolutely fantastic. Thank you, for every moment of this amazing story. I eagerly await the epilogue. Keep being amazing, we love you and everything you do.
A great ending to a wonderfully, darkly, heartbreakingly epic story. And then you say that you're giving us an epilogue, too? Truly, AestheticB, you are too good to us.
>sees this on feature bar
>hmm, this looks good (somehow i've never seen this fic before)
>reads description
>wow, i gotta read this

I do not have the words required to tell you how amazing this was, but that's probably because you already know. I'd open a dictionary, but I don't think the words are in there either.
Well done.
Poor Titan.
...
Nope, couldn't keep a straight face. At least he died knowing he was wrong.
Well, I gotta say, you pulled this off brilliantly. Regardless of how far from left field Twilight's Alicornization came from, the ensuing ass-kickage ensured it was worth every minute. Good on you, mate. And fingers crossed for the sequel.
Holy crap I thought this was being released 24 hours from now and imagine my surprise when it turns out I'm getting the finale of one of the greatest (and one of my favoritest) pony fanfictions yet.
*deep breath*
I'm honestly at a loss for words at the moment. I mean, I could probably wait until tomorrow to write up a more coherent comment and maybe turn it into an actual review, but fuck that, I'm EXCITED.
I mean, Twilight Sparkle basically went from this:

To this:
classes.design.ucla.edu/si06/student_html/desma2/sessionB/rebecca/zine/images/atomsk.gif
To THIS.
static.fjcdn.com/comments/or+something+like+this+will+happen+_80394e14d84c61a255c26fb21f02fc14.png [NOTE: there was totally an image here, and it was kind of cool, but it was actually an understatement. I don't think even Aang energy-bending could compare to Twilight Harmony, honestly.]
(And I don't even LIKE anime!)
If there was one thing I absolutely had to point out, however, it would be that the ending felt too rushed. At first I thought it was anticlimactic, but then I realized you might have just written it to be too fast-paced. I think it needs to be spread out a bit more. A couple scenes, especially Titan's end, could do with a bit of a slowdown. Space it out a bit, you know? Not too much, obviously, you don't want it to drag on and on, but... well, Titan's death WAS anticlimactic. It was spectacular right up until the point when he was reduced to a pony and jumped at Twilight anyway. I think we could have used a little exposition on him, maybe Twilight seeing something change in him... only for him to jump into her blade anyway. I dunno, maybe that's just me, but it felt TOO snappy.
You write the best fight scenes I've ever read, by the way. I'm serious. No exaggeration. I literally have never come across more spectacular combat writing in any story I've ever read before. It's like watching an episode of Dragonball Z in my head, except they're not standing around flexing and panting for hours at a time, and instead of repeating the same old attacks time and time again, there's actual choreography involved. Complex choreography. Your attention to detail in all the right places is especially inspiring. The imagery of those boulders splitting free from the mountain to fall on Canterlot, only for the city to be obliterated a few hundred words later before said boulders have even hit was spectacular. Twilight being able to recognize and track every last speck of her spilled blood as she fights described Alicorn senses better than anything else ever could.
The fact that Titan was already at least a little worn down after his fight with Celestia and Lunar made it a little hard to believe that he could so readily stand against Twilight. But then I remembered what Harmony said about Titan being "the best" (or something along those lines) and all of a sudden I was terrified.
You actually had me going a few times, you know. I was legitimately worried that it was going to end badly, that ponykind would actually lose. That changed once Twilight Sparkle became Twilight Harmony (or whatever the hell she was), but it was badass nonetheless.
(and for the record, I would just like to point out that Google Image searching for "Badassery Beyond Measure," "Atomsk King of Pirates," and "God of Badassery" returns results for Twilight Sparkle, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy [respectively])
(and also that "Slayer of Godslayers" doesn't have any good images yet, but it does have a picture of Celestia [and it would also make a great band name, just saying])
I'm conflicted whether to post the review now, or to wait for the epilogue. Would you rather I update it to reflect on the entire story or just the pre final three chapters?
Thank you for this story, I see a chapter update online and go "well im going to enjoy the end of this day no matter how bad the earlier part may have been" Wonderful story, great characters, amazing action, beautiful writing style and I couldn't find a typo anywhere, so basically, you're amazing =D
This...
This was an amazing emotional roller coaster ride. When I first came to fimfiction, I saw this fic in the updates and read the first couple of chapters...
And I was shocked! How could something this well written be a Fanfiction?
And from then on, I was hooked on this site.
And It was well worth it.
When Dash had the spell cast on her, It had to be one of the depressing moments of any book I have ever read.
It tore me up, I could not read this fic until the battle of Cloudsdale, but at the same time as how sad and dark it was, It was beautiful...
When the elements came back and beat Nihilus, It was amazing...
And now you end it with the perfect ending.
I eagerly await the epilogue and hope that there will be a sequel!!
But even if the is not, I will never forget it.
This truly is, one of the best stories I have ever read in my entire life, and I will never forgot it.
Thank you.
Sincerely ,
SovietBacon
I need the ability to give this story stars again. A single Thumbs up doens't do it justice. I just hope that, as popular as it gets, it doesn't wreck the server like FOE did.
I have no words...

I literally cannot comprehend how you took a show about ponies meant for kids and expanded it to this magnificent epicness. I mean holy shit dude.
Ehhh, I dunno, I don't like how the real gods got killed by a strong mortal. I mean 2 goddesses couldn't beat Titan, but Twilight pulls the "mortals are better" and becomes and alicorn, which is an old cliche really. I dunno, I expected differently.

I for one, believe this story to be exceptional, in all its forms. Not perfect perse; but neither did it need to be perfect; and to demean it by stating so would be criminal in and unto itself.
It's just right. Right and good and whole in its truths and narratives. A story of its kind that comes rarer and rarer it seems. A story that can do something more then tell a sequence of events.
A story that can make one feel, and through feeling; achieve understanding. The understanding of gods, of absolution, of a future worth fighting for in the face of real and true despair. The feeling of hope.
Yours is a unique gift for words, and I hope that despite there being a distinctive lack in appropriate adoration for this story, that you understand you have created something that is truly beautiful. Not superfluously so, like a sunset for example; no. Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but to behold this in its entirety and call it anything less then grand is to speak a lie.
AestheticB, I tip my proverbial hat to you today, with a feeling of sheepish nervousness at my overcompensating writing style, feeling that said style is no less necessary to convey my feelings and the feelings your long and winding tale has invoked. You have finished a novel today, not a fanfiction nor a fimfiction. True these characters are not yours in the sense that you created them, but you have made then yours with skill and the iron hard conviction you so studiously applied to your novel.
For that is what this is: A novel and should be regarded as nothing less. A novel I should add, that is exceptionally good.
But I think I've conveyed my thoughts, however unclearly, in completion. So, to summarize, lest such a stretch of monotonous praise has rendered you catatonic :
Your story: made me
So please don't make me wait too long for the epilogue.

-sunglasses- Oh my gods I fucking LIVE FOR THIS!
Only one more thing to say: good game. Rematch?
