My computer was unable to handle the awesome of this story and literally BSOD'd for the first time ever (had this for 2 1/2 years now) half way through this chapter. I hope you are happy.

I'm curious who this nonchalant, mysterious unicorn is? I'm a bit uncertain if Twilight still has her fragmented personality or if she's now "whole" and will probably fight outright? Unicorn bladecasters seem awful common for my liking for Twilight to be so naive about war/conflict at the beginning of the story.

I would like to preface this post by saying I love your work and have followed it ever since I first found it. I am anxiously awaiting yet more of the series.

I have a few questions about Chap 10 though...

1. King of the world's Shield - I thought Emperyan created the shield? Or does he simply maintain it while Titan actually created it?

2. Shield breaking - You rather skipped over the whole shield breaking and confusion. I'm guessing because it's done in perspective and TS decided to take a fainting right after? You built it up quite a bit, but then just went and poofed it without any real response/reaction.

I hope Twilight & Sparkle decide to put their game-face on and start actually fighting... I'd love to see her 'blade'. Assuming she can make one, for some reason I'm envisioning a matched pair, one for each facet of her new split psyche. What do you think of 'Dusk' and 'Dawn'. Probably a bit too emotional for the egghead.

Iubar and Umbra sound awesome. I wonder if there's some sort of rule about one blade per customer... then again, Twilight Sparkle cares not for your 'rules'. She is her own pony and she plays how she wants... which would normally involve a book and some hot tea I guess. Such a renegade...

Well, this is the first time I've actually commented, though I've been eagerly reading this story for the past two days straight. I absolutely love it, it just can't be topped. I initially decided to read it because LUNA, but then got really into the story.

My favourite line this chapter? Then, she shot upward and kicked the King of the world in the face.

It's just the best. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to check out the tropes page, and then watch the hours and days tick by until December 22. This is going to be physically painful, since I started reading the day before this chapter came out, I haven't had to wait before...

Great story. Except for Ch. 2 Rainbow Dash is my favorite character so that kind of sucked

I just read all of this in one sitting because it was just THAT awesome. Two things to say.

1. I LOVE all the Dungeons and Dragons references. I'm in the middle of replaying BG2, so Carsomyr and Vorpal Blade made me giddy. Esteem makes a funky Paladin but oh well... Also, everyone's favorite spell, Magic Missile made me happy. My only disappointment is that Rarity never got her Zerth blade... ;)

2. The demise of Nix made me a sad camper. My favorite character, gone in a flash. Ah well, it had to happen, and I can't say it wasn't done well...

I've been following this story through EqD before you posted it here. Now that I can finally comment on it, let me just say that I'm so glad none of this has been rendered obselete by the canon. It's one of my favorite darkfics ever, the action scenes are so awesome and well detailed. Rarity's relationship with her real father is quite dramatic, too. The whole bladecasting concept? Just badass.

Alos, dat cover image. Echoing the one above me, Nihilus Nix Naught is my favorite character in the story. I can't say I was sad to see her gone considering all the things she did, but those things are what made her such a good antagonist

i wouldn't be surprised if you cutie mark is a parchment and quill, for you my man have a talent for writing. it howl story has the best writing i have ever seen in a fanfic, the way you portray the characters, the story, the level of detail is amassing and the over all feeling of the text is outstanding. if feels just as im reading a real book. love everything about it and my thanks to you for this AWESOME fanfic (keep the chapters coming)

I just noticed one problem with that picture... Nix isn't supposed to have a cutie mark. She definitely wouldn't have Twilights. Just a minor thing.

Bit of a family emergency as my sister threatened to kill herself and was sent to some hospital or another for a couple months for psychiatric evaluation (and to get her to shake her addiction to Oxycontin,) so we have her three kids for the time being in addition to a whole bunch of other stuff. I'll try to get to the final edit run after my shift today (which ends at 6), but I when I post I won't be leaving a date for the next chapter. Not because I won't be working on it as much, but I can't deal with the added stress of having a deadline right now.

Man, with every word out of his mouth, I feel an uncontrollable urge to punch Esteem in the nards. I can't decide who I want to kill him. Who would have better vengeance, Twilight, Rarity, or Midnight and Starlight?

Another amazing chapter. I love the detail that is put into Twilight's decryption and dissection of the barrier. The combat is intense and I was disheartened to see Coconut Crunch go.

You see? You've got me attached to an OC character... That usually means you're doing a fantastic job!

We also get to see what became of Celestia, and we also discover that it was Esteem himself that released Titan.

The fact that Titan can take over puppets is a little freaky but what else could you expect from the god that created the world?

Unimpressive has made his debut! Hooray for my most favorite OC character of all time!

...And Twilight can mind split, just like Celestia and Titan!
