at the potential loss of Twilight. I still have hope that she will live especially with the whole being a major, major character, and having a bond with the 5 other most powerful ponies on her side that could come to save her. Though the wound is something I do not know how she will live through.

How the hell am I supposed to sleep while thinking up all the ways twilight could survive and any foreshadowing you may have put into the chapter that could hint at what will happen. 199348 The author is making a point at "killing" off the main character while stating she made plans to deal with that very scenario, this is textbook rules of drama here. Twilight cannot just spontaneously develop an "I win" button, she just had a crowning moment of awesome, so now she needs her challenge rating adjusted. it now takes an avatar of a god and one god amongst mortals to kick her ass. This will make the third time we have been told a main character in the series was "dead". Celestia was the first (although in fairness she was kept "dead" for most of the chapters) Fluttershy was the second (that one lasted just a few minutes). Pretty sure a pony with as much raw power as Twilight can heal a stabbing wound.

Depending on how you decide the handle the rest of the story this is very much likely to be the best fanfiction or even story that I've ever read. Fingers crossed.

All I can give you is praise right now, I love every single character of yours. Especially Rarity and Twilight. Oh and the lack of Spike whatsoever is quite.. amusing. I guess he died.. or something. Or I missed that part. I guess it doesn't matter since I'll be rereading the whole story because I can NOT wait till next WEDNESDAY.

Not on her own power, after all this is based of Friendship is Magic so the Magic of Friendship will be involved (and maybe something new with the Elements of Harmony).

200058 I know I know, I meant that I loved if she suddenly ressurected and killed Titan, when he stabbed her with the sword.

At the moment I have a few guesses. The first would be that Twi will tap into AJ's earth pony power through their Elements of Harmony connection and get with the massive regen. This may involve an answer to the question of why 'Shy has earth pony powers and Pinkie has pegasus powers.

The second, and less likely in my opinion, is that Titan has other (worse?) plans for Twi than just death and is on his way to heal her up the same way we have been told he had to heal Celestia once after one of her torture sessions.

Third guess? Straight up death. I really hope not, though.

Man, I'm going to be slightly depressed all week with Twilight's possible death hanging around in the back of my mind.

So, Twilight just pulled the biggest crowning moment of awesome the fandom has ever seen. Can't wait to see her top it later, be it in person or through the eternal game.

I had a similar thought, I mean we have paragons of Earth Pony, Unicorn and Pegasus power in Applejack, Twilight and Rainbow Dash. All bound up into this sorta sympathetic sync, with the most powerful, and inscrutable of artifacts ever. Rarity, Pinkie and Flutts aren't slackers either in their own abilities, maybe the elements will do something? Harmony Alicorn birth/ressurection?

This reminds me of Game of Thrones....that is a good thing, twists and turns . This story is so well written, and uploaded so often that it is crazy to think someone gave it less than a 5 out of 5

I've been doing more rampent speculation, so correct me if I am wrong. Reading so far it seems to me that Luna would crush Esteem (can we all agree on this?), we also know that Nilihus (Twilight) roflstomped Luna in Cloudsdale, so wouldn't it follow that Twilight would utterly steamroll poor General Esteem?
Also, seeing what Twilight did with "The Cadet", couldn't she just grab hold of unicorns and, ya know, throw them up into the air, kinda like a game of Defend Your Castle?

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too. As powerful as Twi is demonstrating herself to be right up until she runs into Esteem, it really seems like she should have been able to crush him like a bug in 10 seconds flat. Maybe it was part of her plan, and she was still serving as a distraction?

I'm not sure Luna would crush Esteem. But, in any case, Luna has access to skilled bladecasting, full unicorn magic, earth pony, and pegasus magic, as well as any Alicorn powers she can bring to bear. Twilight has nothing but pure Unicorn spells, and Esteem knows this.

Esteem knows everything Twilight can do to attack him, so he may have an advantage, though I think he'd still of fared fairly well vs Luna too. As for her sword's dispelling ability. It seems like it needs to come in contact with the pony to work. She was able to disable the Cadet's 'Hold' over his own body only because she was able to touch him with a blade fragment. I don't think it works if they catch the fragments on their own blades or shields.

Still, though she went all badass on the 200+ reserve force, she didn't really get into the battle against Esteem before Titan showed up. I still want her to go poof into black smoke as if she had dominated a puppet like Titan can.
