When the changeling invasion raged through Canterlot, Cloud Kicker was cut off from most of her friends and trapped in the Kicker compound with her watchponies. It was only her leadership that saved them from the fate of the rest of Canterlot...
Desperate, she ventured into the heart of the Kicker compound to attempt to don the armor of the great Shadow Kicker, but when she stood before the memory of her ancestor, she was denied...

Oh this is SO awesome.
Very glad to see this continuing, and the combat scene between Cloud and Chrysalis was nice.
Lets see.... just the most recent fuck ups Cloud has managed... first, she goes after her own mother to... kill her. Thankfully she didn't achieve it... then she goes back to the Guard out of guilt. at least in my opinion. Then she sleeps with a mare who adores her, and gives her virginity not to someone who loves her as she should, but an emotional wreck of a mare who wanted to cling to first warm body she could.
And now... well first she thinks a hunk of dust covered relic will do her any good, then she lets Shadow... no not even Shadow, a ghost take her over. Mind you, I think Cloud is ten times the mare Shadow could have ever hope to have ever been, and thats with all Cloud's faults. But I think I can safely say Derpy should have never hit her, but not cause she didn't deserve it.

6903526 Not all reasons are good ones. it reminded me of the ending to Command and Conquer 4. No matter what you do your screwed, but you did that part better then they did. Heck she could have been stuck wearing the armor because her soul as in it.
Oh wow. Went in expecting something good, came out having read something fantastic. How has this not gotten more attention?
(I'd say now I want to read Winning Pony again, which I do, but I'll wait until my printed copy arrives)
