Clearly, you've never played the 90's PC game 'MYST'. It's a little confusing, and it's part of a series. In the first game you start out on a small island with a library, a rocket, a sunken pirate ship, a building that looks like a clocktower, a portion of a redwood forest, and half a gear sticking up out of a stone platform (These are just the more prominent things). On this island are several books, and several worlds to step into. Each world, including the island which is the Nexus (or place that is the center, as it were), contains part of a whole story. Once you know the story, you can get rid of the villains, and proceed to the next game.
I've only played the first, and only seen the fifth in a store. Unfortunately when they came out I was still a child and had not the mind for a complex story. Now that I am older, I can't find these games anywhere, save for the first, which was a gift from one of my grandfathers.

373879 Well yeah I started with Myst and I dove into all of the stuff on my shelf where the game sits. That means Riven, Exile, Revelations, End of Ages, Uru, and the three novels as well. I have WAAAAAAAAY too much 'what if...' that happens when I write.

I have to give you props for doing a Pony/Myst cross-over, just on principle. However, I'm not too fond of the particular approach you're using. It seems like just another Human in Equestria story to me, and those are a dime a dozen.
Don't let my opinion stop you though. I just thought I ought to weigh in.

383954 Thanks, don't worry though. I'm getting there. If I was writing this for myself I'd have gone far past where I am now, but that's cause I know where it would go. If I take my time I think I'll have a better story overall. Besides, by taking my time I can also share it. I have to explain a bit here and there without just saying "if you want to get some of it go to mystlore," I don't want to be a jerk like that.
Many wonders can be found in books, but sometimes, on rare occasion, when the right conditions are met...those wonders can find the reader as well...
