6879293 Yea I can see were you are coming from. I mean he doesn't actually say they should go dimension hopping or anything, he just says they should do something. which in turn starts the chain of events leading up to them going to Equestria.
I will probably edit the description, I did write it when I was heavily sleep deprived and had just spent hours writing down plot and character related things.

Just a quick update, I know It's been over a month since the last update unfortunately I have just been way too busy with work, however with my birthday in a few days I went and booked myself a few days holiday. so I should have enough free time to myself to get on with writing, so expect a new chapter soon.
