This story definitely needs an edit, though. The dashes between dialogue are annoying too.

Depends on where you are. While I do have a penchant for a good pipe myself, here pipe mix costs much more then cigarettes.
As for edit... not gonna happen. Strange notions about notations is pretty much my trademark quirk, by now. Suffice to say I`m used to writing like this, and I do find the notion of redoing it in the way that would annoy me both unnecessary and unpleasant.

Huh, didn't know that. I get my pipe tobacco for about 8.00 and it usually lasts me nearly a month.
And if I don't have pipe tobacco I just go to the nearest ash tray and squeeze out any remaining tobacco I find into my pipe.

Makes perfect sense after recent episodes, Pinkie with a pipe that she bubbles instead of smokes. Never, NEVER pull on a pipe filled with soapy water!
