Some Kind of Monster (Alternative Ending)

“I just got a letter,” said Scootaloo to Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. They were in some distance from the stage, near the group of trees, “I’m got into the Wonderbolts’ Academy!”

“Great!” they exclaimed, hugging her.

“Really? The Wonderbolts have really gone to the dogs…” said Diamond Tiara, who was passing nearby. She looked pissed, perhaps Silver Spoon chatting happily with Twist on the other side of the crowd had something to do with it. Apple Bloom wanted to charge at her, but Scootaloo stopped her.

“Come on, Tiara, don’t be foalish. We’re not blank flanks anymore, I can fly now, and I don’t point out how lame a talent wearing a diamond tiara is. So, do me a favour and stop whining, before you lose all your friends.”

Scootaloo smiled, seeing Diamond Tiara walk away. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were talking, but she barely heard that. Somewhere in the distance ponies were cheering. Thunderlane just flew from the stage, to take place near Cloudchaser.

Good job, my little pony, a tiny voice in Scootaloo’s head said, Maybe this filly will now put that stick out of her rump and learn to get on well with other ponies. If not… we can always kill her later…

Author's Note:

Well, that's probably the shortest chapter I'll ever write (at least seeing that huge outline for "A Kingdom Divided").
And I don't think I'll ever make it a trilogy - sorry for the pun, but I think it would be beating a dead pony...

Few comments earlier, when we discussed Scootaloo's father's name. For some reason, I later came up with ex-hippies...

This was a nice (if a bit gruesome) read :raritywink: If you do decide to make it a trilogy, I'd love to read it

So far I don't have plans to make a trilogy, but I'm currently writing a similar story, which will be published soon.

4550855 Sweet, what's it called so I can look out for it?

4550921
Its name is "Sleepless" and I'm currently looking for prereaders/proofreaders for it

4550953 subtle hint but I'm afraid I don't have the time right now :ajsleepy: I'm sure someone out there will help

Too bad. I guess I'll soon post the link to the first chapter in gdocs and hope for the best...

Sir Samey, I didn't really imagine you to be a Metallica fan.

Also, this sequel also gave me, yet again, another fanfiction idea.

4645748
Generally, my musical writing fuels are usually Metallica, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd and, occasionally, Tom Waits. For example, while writing my newest story, I usually listen to Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Enter Sandman and Nick Cave's albums Henry's Dreams and Murder Ballads. From time to time I listen to something completely weird, like Deine Lakaien or Einsturzende Neubauten (their music is similar to their name...)

And while writing comedy, I listen to The Offspring, Distemper or Die Arzte. Which shows...

I wonder what is that idea...

4645795
I don't really have anything specific I listen to artist-wise, just stuff from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, usually straight from an old radio I have. For me, music fuels ideas (many of them of inspired by Van Halen songs), but music is usually too distracting for me write.

Oh, and...

“And then she said “No Sweetie, these toys are not for the little fillies!”

4645872
:twilightsheepish: It seems that I subconsciously associate Rarity with such toys – there's a similar fragment in First Bat's Problems:

"Hmm, maybe we could buy something for you?" Apple Bloom asks. Before I could reply, they all exclaim "Cutie Mark Crusaders Delivery Service!"

"I'm sorry, but it's something I'd rather buy myself..." I say. Oh Celestia, I'm blushing. I hope they won't notice...

"Strange, that's exactly what Rarity said when I wanted to run an errand for her..." Sweetie Belle says. "She later brought some package and hid it in her bedroom..."

"Let's find out what is it!" Scootaloo exclaims. "Cutie Mark Crusaders Detectives!"

Or maybe all my stories take place in the same universe...

Honestly, amongst the six of them, I see Dash:rainbowhuh: and Rarity:raritywink: the most likely to have one. Fluttershy would be too embarrassed:fluttershysad:, Twi would use some weird magic:twilightblush:, Applejack is a bit too old-fashioned:ajbemused:, and I can only imagine what kind of stuff happens at one of Pinkie's parties...especially the private ones....:pinkiecrazy:

4645911
Pinkie's parties must be very interesting... :pinkiehappy: I guess for Dash it's an element of exercise... Applejack is probably too busy working... About Twi and Rarity, I recently wrote such thing:

Unicorns can generally be divided into two groups: those who used their magic to pleasure themselves or their partners and those who say that they didn’t.

Though actually it was about Trixie...

4645937
I've read quite a few fics that imply Trixie:trixieshiftright: to be some sort of traveling call girl in addition to being a traveling showmare.

4645947
Well, in the story about her I'm currently writing, she's actually among the least perverted characters. But it's relative, since the cast include Vinyl Scratch (I have a tendency to write her as pansexual and quite open about her private life), Minuette (storry narrator with a dirty mind) and Flitter and Cloudchaser as a BDSM incest couple (don't ask).

4646145 I don't have to. I've read it, and it's freaking hilarious.:rainbowlaugh:

4666691
Thanks  Btw, I have to finish the next chapter...

4666718
Although, I have noticed something. Of your stories, I've read four of them ("A Kingdom Divided", "Tools" and its sequel, and "Way to Go, Minuette, Way to Go") and I've noticed that you use Flitter, Cloudchaser, and Vinyl a lot. Vinyl, I can understand, since she probably reminds you a lot of your sister, but why Flitter and Cloudchaser?

4666819
I like Cloudchaser's mane :unsuresweetie: About Flitter, I really liked her in 500 Little Murders. That's probably the reason why she's always the weird one (in some of my stories it's an understatement...)

Also, for them being my favourite ponies, they suffer a lot. Especially Vinyl (but there's an explanation: I simply don't write about ponies I don't like).

4666878
Honestly, whether I like them or not doesn't really matter. I absolutely hate Rarity (mainly because reminds me too much of someone I went to school with), and yet, I have some story ideas concerning her that I will write.

And when it comes to their manes, I like Flitter's much better, but it may be because I have some weird thing about hair bows.

4666921
Rarity is fun to write :raritywink: And I generally have a weird thing about manes...

4666955
I kinda have a hair fetish, so I pay much attention to manes...

Ooooooohhh...

I like socks.:twilightblush:

4667530
Socks are cool too :raritywink:

So far I think your stories take place in two different universes, this one and the minuette/awkward nurse one but you can always cross them over and turn this series into a trilogy by making both of these epilogues canon

Dunno, I haven't written anything in these verses in a while.
