Also, I should have mentioned this earlier, I'm glad you made mention of one of the ponies wondering about what happens to their old selves once they fully shift into their pony form and mentality. Would have made for an interesting story for one of them to go all denialistic (it's a word now, I made it up) and practically shut themselves up on a room with memorabilia from their life, maybe even religious iconography as something to cling to. There's probably a side fic done like that though. Oh well.
