There are a few typos here and there, nothing major mind you, just small things that anyone can miss but other than that I must say I'm curious about where this is going; I'm a sucker for redeemed villains (especially if they're awesome like Chrysalis was) and also I'm intrigued about how a humanXchrysalis pairing might work too so I look forward to reading more.

Looks good so far. I was wondering if human was Celestia's lover (following the relationship comment), however, the way they interacted it doesn't seem like that's the case...which is good.
3119198 don't worry they weren't, he hasn't been in Equestria for more than 7-8 months, so he's essentially still coming to terms with how some things work whilst he knows many others by now at least.
While I'm generally not a fan of most HIE stories, as most have a tendency to have a stereotypically predictable theme at best or are simply downright painful to read at worst, this doesn't seem to fall into either of those categories. With a proofreader and a bit of polishing perhaps this could be one of those rare HIE stories that's easy to get lost in. Aside from the aforementioned proofread and polish the only other way this could improve in my opinion, for what it's worth would be larger chapters. Keep up the good work.
3120521 thanks for the feedback friend, im still trying my hardest to make these chapters look good without the proofreading but i will find an editor hopefully, and i'll try to see if i can make them longer but that means im gonna take a bit longer with each chapter in order for me to develop the story more and plan out etc.

I think I can see why people might want to downvote this story, no offense but to me there's a big flaw in the story.
And that flaw is Dwayne, or at least how he's acting.
There's nothing wrong with having a original character as the main character, the problem is that he's too much of the main character. He was the one that suggested that the changelings might have had a real reason to invade, he was the one that convinced the others, he was the one that stopped the guards from attacking the changeling. And now for some reason he's been given custody of the letter despite him not being part of their government. To put it simply, what have any other characters besides him done besides be impressed by him and admire him for his good qualities? Of which he seems to be made from entirely. For example;
This combined with the fact that he's on speaking term with the princesses, is giving orders to the guards, and seems to be to know more about this world somehow than either of them, is just making him look like a mary sue and the story something of a self insert.
Oh, there is two flaws he has as a actual person though
; he's a hypocrite and slightly racist. 
Really? After that whole jazz of the changelings are just people and not evil he just goes and says basically," It's odd that you aren't being rude asshole because you're a changeling."
Despite my criticisms, and I hope they don't sound like complaints, this story has a good idea behind it and I hope you continue it.

Since he was explaining that humans were the only intelligent beings on earth, it would be sentient. ~Sorry for the Grammar Nazi moment.
