Derek Wildstar and Nova Forrester (from Star-Blazers/Yamato universe) had married about AD 2204 and immediately conceived the instant they consummated their marriage. Five years later, Derek is found on the inactive list for reasons of parental leave, and Nova is working hard moving up the ranks. Miyuki, their daughter, enjoys antique animation, and especially enjoys a huge cache of antique animation DVD's called My Little Pony. Miyuki has been hearing about the intergalactic series of conflicts involving Earth known as the Five Years of Fire from 2199 to 2204. Can Derek manage explain at least some of the truth to his five year old girl without traumatizing her? There just might be a way...

So you've had the patience to read this far. What do you think? A direct mapping of MLP to Star Blazers/Yamato 2199 is impossible, but I'm adding some different characters who behave similarly to SB for different reasons, for example, an alcoholic doctor.
