Yes. All that needs to be said.

What are the other two of the 'big three' ? Not trying to start a popularity contest, just want to be sure that I havn't missed one.
2922957
I can't stop hearing Peewee Herman when I read story descriptions, you do it once and then it just keeps happening.
Oh HELL YES!
Praise Smooze, it's finally here!
As well as being a good story, this made replaying Fallout 3 for the parallels that much more enjoyable. Thank you Kkat!

Finally, this amazing story is here!
I am very curious for the reasoning of people saying it's a bad thing this came here. Could someone please clearify this strange phenomenon for me? I don't want to start any trouble of course but my curiousity is getting the better of me and I simply must ask.
PS. I think this is great since I personaly don't like reading on gdocs and I have a much easier time knowing what I've read and what I've not read here. Also I'm very fond of the layout and the general functionality.

Mainly because it is already so big on other sites. It's also going to dominate the featured box and keep a spot there for a while, not letting somebody's new story get up there.
2923320
I'm not entirely certain how the featured box works. However, if Fallout: Equestria should remain on it past this initial surge of popularity, then it is my intention to allow it to stay there through the weekend so that bronies who only check FIMfiction on the weekends can see that the story is now here. After that, I will be asking Knighty to have it removed from the featured box so that it does not prevent new stories from getting a chance at the spotlight.
Likewise, one of the benefits of having the story rated "mature" rather than "teen" is that it doesn't appear on the featured box for those who are filtering mature material, allowing new non-mature stories the full spotlight potential.

You've thought this through rather well. I never said this before, but thank you for deciding to post it up here. I know that it was a mixed decision for you, but I'm still thankful nonetheless.
Kkat, I think that putting the story up here was a great idea! Some people dislike Gdocs, and a portion of the community was not aware of Fallout: Equestria's existance. I wish you good luck with the formatting, and, once again, thank you for creating this well-woven universe.
Ditzy wrote a book? And its not about muffins? The world is a strange place. also ditzy is derpy?
I've already read the story and I'm glad to see it on Fimfiction.
This is a very well-written fic, even though I haven't read it on Equestia daily or on other sites, but again very good and can't wait for the next chapter.
YAY!
too loud?
omg omg omg omg Fallout Equestria on Fimfiction!!! prayers be answered.
In the words of myself: (no words for the epicness.)
Well, now I have no excuse not to read Fallout: Equestria. I was too lazy to find it on Equestria Daily.
Been there. Read that.
*Throws you a star and a green hand*
Because you deserve it K~
Also, thanks for making me play the Fallout games. They were great.

I think he sayd it was Past Sins and My Little Dashie in another comment.
And hop, right in the fav, a follow and a like.
My job here is done!
2917727
Eh, you coulda done what I did and read it all in the E-Reader-compatible .pdf that was hosted on DeviantArt. Especially since the whole thing is in one file - no loading the next chapter like you will here or on GDocs.

On a completely unrelated note...
>dark_souls/emote HURRAH
>dark_souls/emote JOY
>dark_souls/emote PRAISE_THE_SUN
I've already read the whole thing, but this being on FiMFiction is still awesome.
2922319The Big 3 are this, Past Sins, and My Little Dashie. Those are easily the three most popular(and hated) stories written in the Pony fandom.
2923647 Don't forget The Empty Room. In my mind at least it deserves as much attention as Past Sins. By the way am I the only one who appreciates the irony of creating a friendly environment to talk about the Equestrian wasteland?
2923728I've been wanting to read that for the longest time. Its just there are so many other things I want to read as well. Should I prioritize that fic?
I'm glad you changed your mind about uploading it.
Well, looks like we'll never see the first featured slot ever again.
2917772
To be brutally honest, it's good for what it is, but very overhyped simply because it's long.
It was, what many believe, the first of its kind and it was well at being the first (unlike My Little Dashie, which had incredibly poor execution).
It's "good" if you like Fallout. It's not "good" if you don't.
The end.
2923381
it's completely automated based on likes/favorites/comments over time
so it probably will be here for weeks
2923728
Actually, there's no irony here. Wasn't that Littlepip's goal when she was fixing up the Equestrian Wasteland?
2923381
It falls off exponentially over time, so even a story as popular as this will only stay up for a few days
And there was great rejoicing
YES IT'S FINALLY HERE!
--TheRussianBrony
Wow, it's funny that this has finally gone up, given the fact that most of us have already read it and are simply upvoting it to express our past enjoyment. The funny thing is that there are literally twice as many likes as views now.
2923788
I know people who've read Fo:E before playing Fallout, so it's not really 100% true. But, of course, if you like MLP and Fallout, you will most likely like Fo:E.
YESYESYES -hopsaroundinjoy- I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TO BE HERE FOR AGES!
2923790 That being said is that mission not somewhat a failure? Not for lack of trying mind you but the wastes are still a horrible place full of death, carnage and worse
2923744 Honestly yes, its well worth the time and the effort to read it. I loved that story and it shall always reside next to Foe and the other great brony works in my mind
And god spoke: Let there be likes!
2923904
Well, the Afterword [SPOILERS] kinda reveals that the Wasteland is a far better place ten years after the Day of Sunshine and Rainbows, and is constantly improving.
Basically, the biggest difference between Fallout and Fo:E, in my opinion, is the ending: in Fallout (any game) the moral is that war never changes, and the world is still a terrible place; in Fo:E, the moral is that, while war never changes, ponies do - and while they failed to preserve the Old World (pre-war/pre-apocalypse world), they are able to restore the Wasteland, through devotion, virtue and friendship. Because Friendship - Friendship never changes.
2918243 How did I get 2 downvotes? I gave my honest opinion, and praised the story and author in the process. I essentially just called the story good, but I didn't call it the best. So clearly, I'm not a fanboy, either.
2924117
You aren't a fanboy quite clearly but there are many on this page who are and will downvote anything that dares go against the story even indirectly. So even someone like yourself who likes the story and praises the author isn't safe
2923973 I shall bow to a comment well founded and wisdom well warranted, consider my previous statements null.
2924147
Aww, I'm embarrassed.
Thank you for your kindness.
2924144
I disagree. On the other hand, if you browse through the comment pages, comments that praise the story in any way, to any degree, get downvoted. So, no, people who like Fo:E did not, and will not, downvote such a comment. Those who hate Fo:E and everything connected to it (and people who like it to any extent), will downvote such comments.
There's people saying this is overhyped and I can see why, but I think this is genuinely one of those times where lots of people really love a thing and are pleased with it to the extent that they're describing while others don't find it as appealing and are dead set on debunking a myth.
Is "Star Wars" disproportionally credited with bringing sci-fi to mainstream audience?
I would say yes, but then I wouldn't call it overhyped- I'd call it popular.
Chances are if you're like one of the thousands of people who liked this story so far you'll like it as well, if you're like one of the thousands who didn't you won't. It's worth checking.
2924174
This shows the kind of bias I was on about; haters will blindly downvote anything that praises the story but fanboys will do the same to anything that criticizes it even vaguely. You can't pretend only one side does it because that really shows a stick your fingers in your ear to make it go away mentality; hatedoms and fandoms can both act extremely immature, and comment sections are a prime source of that.
I'm stuck in a neverending cycle of me repeatedly saying, "THIS FIC IS AWESOME!"
