Your writing is pretty good, but the only problem is your OC. Rainbow Dash is the ONLY pony alive to do a Sonic Rainboom. Your OC shouldn't even be close to doing it. AND we dont even know if the Rainboom happens when you you break the sound barrier! It could just be a result of flying really fast. Plus, if Pegasus feathers are "really absorbent" then why can RD fly in the rain?
Need to fix that.

I actually have to disagree with you on that. If you have ever watched Silverquill, then he explains that giving a character similar abilities takes away from what makes the character special. However, I think that kind of thing would apply more to things like the Pinkie Sense, which is an inherit ability. The Sonic Rainboom is more like an achieved ability, done through training. Saying that an OC can't do it because Rainbow is the only one who can is like saying that no one can reach her level.
I also think the sound barrier thing is forgivable because of multiple reasons, including the facts that its mostly accepted by the fandom, there are videos proving it does, and the fact that the Sonic Rainboom is described in the show to be when a pegasus goes so fast that "a sonic boom and a rainbow can happen all at once," the first of which occurs only when you break the sound barrier.
Also, it says that the Cloud's feathers being highly absorbent is part of a medical condition, specific to him alone. Or did it not say that back when you made that comment? If so then sorry.
Nice job with this story. To be honest though Cloud is going to be in trouble. If Rainbow Dash ever finds out what he did, he is so dead.
Love the chapters story, it really is fun to read it.
