Zipp and Pipp have always been distant sisters. Their interests never aligned, and rarely did they spend time in each other's company when their mom wasn't involved. But after returning from an adventure and making friends with earth ponies and a unicorn, the two royals have an important question to answer: are they sisters, or are they family?

It's early morning in Zephyr Heights and Pipp wants to have a live stream on how to make the perfect morning sandwich. Unfortunately, she should have known her sister would want to disrupt her moment with her fans.

An idle mind is a dangerous thing, and Zipp Storm is a detective with no current cases. In the dog day doldrums of summer, suspicions sometimes see signs that aren't there.

Unless of course Zipp is right, and Pipp really is possessed by a ghostly diva from centuries past.

My take on a scene that probably should have been in My Little Pony: A New Generation. Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm finally hash things out before going on to Bridlewood.

Hey pegasi of Zephyr Heights, don't be like the mare in the cover image! This is Princess Pipp Petals, reminding everypony to wear a phone lanyard when flying above 5 meters!

"So... you weren't going to tell me?" The pink pegasus had tears in her eyes, feeling like a tiny filly again as she looked up at her mother.

"Dearest..." There was sorrow in Queen Haven's eyes, and Pipp didn't even need to hear what she'd say next. She already knew she was right. But her mother spoke anyway. "Before today, it wouldn't have mattered."

While a thunderstorm brews outside the Zephyr Heights palace walls, a teenage Zipp Storm reads her sister a bedtime story.
