The battle against Opaline has been won, and the two groups of friendship-defending ponies are squeezing in the last few minutes of time they can spend together. Misty in particular has questions regarding her new Cutie Mark, so Applejack sends her to some experts.

With Queen Haven away on vacation, she left her daughter, Zipp Storm in charge of Zephyr Heights while she was away for a week. Zipp felt uncertain if she could but she and the rest of the Mane 8 will work together to make it through and have a bit of fun. But the forecast for the substitute queen's reign is not looking good... A mass of clouds the size of a city is wreaking havoc on Zephyr Heights... It's hailing, it's snowing, it's raining, it's blowing wind, and all the Pegasi are in danger! The Mane 8 quickly jump into action, but it's up to Zipp to save her kingdom. Her bravery may just lead to the discovery of a lifetime...and bridge the world between the past and present.

It wasn't very long ago that Misty Brightdawn declared her independence from Opaline Arcana. Now, she lives a much happier life in Maretime Bay with all of her friends.

Unfortunately, some aspects of life that are considered "normal" to most are completely alien to the sheltered Misty, and during a quiet moment alone with her good friend Anon, he learns what one such oddity is: affection.

And he is more than happy to help her figure it out.

When an ancient Equestrian artifact suddenly tears a hole in time and space, Sunny Starscout gets the chance to meet her idol, Twilight Sparkle, for real! However, not only is Twilight shocked by the changes to the Equestria she loves, but Opaline's ever-present eyes see this as an opportunity to undo her defeat at Twilight's hooves. Twilight and Sunny must find a way to stop the mad alicorn if Equestria is to remain stable.

Pipp Petals has gone out of her way to help Misty recover from the trauma Opaline inflicted on her friend. Now, seeing Misty discover her courage, the confident Pegasus finds there’s so much depth behind the shy exterior that no pony realises.
