Homo Sapiens are the rarest species on the planet of Equus.
Although they lack the ability to use magic and they are physically weaker than other races, they hold mental capabilities that far surpass any other species, which cause them to be viewed as major catalyst for societal, cultural, and technological advancements.
As a result, they are often considered valuable and highly sought after creatures by rulers, nobles, and entire nations looking to improve their political stance on the global stage.
In essence, the ideas that Humans are able to generate in their heads, are equal to having a walking, talking, gold mine.
So when a human foreign exchange student, sent to study at Twilight's School of Friendship by the Yakyakistan royal family, is bullied by his peers to the point that he runs away; things quickly spiral out of control for the ponies as it sparks an international crisis between Equestria and Yakyakistan that threatens to unravel the very political order of the entire world.
With the clock slowly ticking for Equestria to find the Human before it is too late to repair its relationship with Yakyakistan, and other nations eagerly eyeing the opportunity to swoop in and take advantage of the situation, Princess Twilight reunites with old friends and uses everything at her disposal to insure that she gets the Human back before it causes irreversible harm to the world of peace and harmony that she has spent so many years trying to build.
But unbeknownst to her and everypony else in Equestria, the search for the missing human will uncover an ancient secret lurking in the Everfree Forest that will change Equus forever and reveal a dark forgotten chapter in Equestrian history.
With so much information lost to the murkiness of time, Princess Twilight will be forced to confront the only two remaining ponies on the entire planet who might have answers, and convince them to come out of retirement in order to help understand the full extent of the situation that she and the rest of Equestria has inherited.
With everything that transpires, it leaves the ponies with several questions...
How will Princess Twilight, her friends, and all the ponies of Equestria, come to view their country after they come face to face with the sins of their ancestors?
Are the creatures of Equus really as loving and tolerating to each other as they always thought they were?
What was the full extent of consequences that came as a result of Celestia banishing Nightmare Moon, so many years ago?
And most important of all:
Is the magic of Friendship and Love powerful enough to dispel a grudge and resentment that has lingered for more than a thousand years?
(The story takes place 15 years after Celestia and Luna retire and contains some romantic elements despite me running out of tags)
