At this point, I have high expectations for your works, and this story didn't even come close to meeting them. Essentially, the entire story didn't need to happen. The only character who learned anything was Flurry, and she could have grappled with her inadequacies in dozens of other less idiotic ways that she likely would have tried first. And how did she even know the spell to undo petrification in the first place?

As much as I should. I don't feel sorry for Flurry. There are fewer world-ending ideas out there to help find her place in the world, and I'm sure Cadance and Twilight could've broken out that old song to help.
Also nice to see this not devolve into a romance between these two. 99.999% of other stories do.
