I wasn't at fault, but my car is totaled, so that's going to throw a wrench into things logistically. At least it's almost summer, so no school trips for a bit.

I was wearing my seat belt, so the only thing hurt is my hands. That I use to type. And work.

But since I always seem to get more ideas when I'm not able to write, maybe I'll come out of this with a new story or two.

Kinda wanted to get that old blog off the page, because I’m in a little better place now.

For example, I have gotten a new job. I’m now a pharmacy technician (trainee). Not too bad so far. Lots of standing. Bit of a paycut. Working less, driving more. A lot more moving in general. But it is semi-related to the medical field, which does interest me, and I think I’m picking things up fairly quickly.

I think the mark of a good piece of media is one that hits differently depending on when you consume it. Like how when you watch A Goofy Movie and as a kid you sympathize with Max and then when you watch it older you see more of Goofy's perspective. Or like how when you watch Shrek 2 as an adult it's still funny, but different parts are funny for different reasons (the union part, for example).

So I’ve been on sertraline for a while. It was working, maybe? Like at first it was helping, but then it kinda tapered off, like I kept getting a higher dose, but even so, after a while, I kept falling back into the ‘i really like this bed’, ‘i’m just not feeling it today’, multiple-energy-drinks-a-day kind of thing.

Jinglemas is a secret-santa style fic exchange. I’ve seen this event pass by a couple times, but never wanted to join. I always figured, “why would I ask for a story? if I wanted a specific story, I could just write it myself”. And then there was that underlying fear of failure, being asked to write a story that I might not want to / might not be able to finish in time.
