Rarity had religiously worn that claw clip to school every day. It was from a Canterlot store, after all. Made for a Canterlot company and featured in the Canterlot magazines.

But the novelty soon wore off. The colors chipped at the edges and her mane grew too long for the little gold clip to fit properly. And Rarity was turning fourteen and in the playground with her best friend Applejack. She was talking about her Manehattan days and wanted to show Rarity some manestyle from the city.

"Here, I got it in the city - it's probably what your fancy city family used too." Said Rarity, putting the claw clip into Applejack's mane. It went better with Applejack's mane too, she thought. And by the time the day ended, the girls had returned home so tired of laughing at Applejack's pathetic mane styling attempts that neither of them noticed that Rarity had never gotten her claw clip back. Or that one of Applejack's red hoof bands was still on Rarity's back hoof.

Night Light forgets his wedding anniversary, so Twilight, Spike and Shinning Armor help him make it up to Twilight Velvet by getting their favorite band together for a reunion concert.

Yes! Here's yet another fic based off of Phineas and Ferb. This time with Twilight and Spike as our main lead, and Shinning Armor as Cadence.

Twilight Sparkle knew her potential, but she could never perform a basic spell. When she doesn't get into magic school after Starlight Glimmer successfully stops the Sonic Rainboom, she sees no reason to go on, and decides she wants revenge on all the other fillies and colts, who had no problem making friends or achieving the level of education they deserve.

A tragedy ensues.

But what happens after a tragedy? What about her parents?

Follow Twilight Velvet on her journey, dealing with trauma, guilt, and other emotions that stem from a tragedy. Meanwhile, Starlight Glimmer tries to deal with the consequences of her actions, feeling a similar guilt.

Twilight Velvet's story is heavily inspired by We Need To Talk About Kevin.
Starlight Glimmer's story is heavily inspired by the episode Turn Left of Doctor Who.
Other influences include Elephant by Gus Van Sant, Bowling for Columbine, and research of school shootings.

Before Twilight Sparkle, there was Twilight Velvet. A young aspiring writer who doubts her abilities and feels as if her talent isn't good enough. While she doubts herself, the Light conspires to have her killed for a Darkness growing in her heart uncontrollably. A silver haired boy had taken an interest in her, and takes her as his "Seeker of Darkness".

This boy, 'Xehanort', has plans for her that Velvet can only follow along with, lest she suffer a terrible fate at the hands of .

Xehanort is a keeper of the balance between Light and Darkness, and fights as the latter's champion. Seeing potential in some of the locals, he begins mentoring them in how to harness the same powers as him, and some day protect what most fear. As the followers of Light conspire against him, Xehanort struggles to protect the natural order from teetering.

After all, when Light destroys Darkness, shadows follow suit.

Twilight Sparkle has been given many opportunities in her life. First she was Princess Celestia's prized student, then the Element of Magic, and most recently she was crowned a Princess of Equestria. Indeed, she has always been a very competent mare who has always been at the right place at the right time to do exactly what she needed to.

Many would chalk her success up to her extraordinary talents and uncanny brilliance, and they would be partially right. Twilight Sparkle's talent, drive and ability have allowed her to move upwards in her life to heights that she had only dreamed of reaching before, and truly no other mare could have done such a thing.

But anypony who thought that was the whole story would be sorely mistaken. Behind the new Princess is a family who loves her, a support group of friends and loved ones who are always there to hold her up if things get too tough... as well as a surprisingly large network of ponies who have placed all of their hopes onto the young alicorn's shoulders.

Because Twilight Sparkle's dream is not hers alone.

For any parent, there is that constant worry for their children when they come of age and are forced to tread their path in the world. The same was true for Night Light. But in a short time, his children had reached such great heights that he could not possibly fathom, and he could not be more proud. Despite that lingering worry that still nagged at him deep within the corners of his mind, he knew that they were more than capable of handling anything life could throw at them.

So when a letter arrives for him one unsuspecting day, he never imagined that the contents could shatter his whole world.
