The son of Princess Amore has lost everything and has to find his place in the world of a thousand years ago. Hoping to find a reason to move on, he wanders aimlessly everywhere accompanied by his faithful escort, a female warrior from his homeland, in a relentless search for traces of the past they left behind. In the course of their journey they meet a musician of extraordinary abilities, who unexpectedly joins them, determined to bring his art to every corner. Together, they gather their courage and embark on a dangerous mission to try to save the Crystal Empire, in which they must overcome the adversities along the way, discover themselves and build together not only their own destiny, but that of all of Equestria.
Turbulent times were upon the Equestria of a millennium ago. Dealing with the consequences of one evil after another and working for the sake of harmony required enormous sacrifices; sometimes the efforts of the good were in vain and the cost very high. At the end of one dark stage, much had been lost, but one sunny day heralded the beginning of an era of celestial peace. There is just so much that time erased, so much history lost from one generation to another, that the passing of the years managed to tear the roots of the past from the memory of those who live today; although some long-lived beings keep the memories of yesteryear as scars and carry with them wounds that never finished healing.
Lives, forgotten events and unanswered questions; much finds explanation in these very pages, in the epic adventure never told by any other manuscript in history, because you had to be there to live it.
To understand the present that surrounds us, one must first look beyond the crystal.
