It's been ten years since the Crystal Empire had reappeared and the dark curse of King Sombra had been broken. Under the kind rule of Princess Cadance and her family, the Crystal Empire slowly grows back into the prosperous and peaceful nation the crystal ponies had built up centuries ago.

However, not only the past offers challanges that need to be faced as even the weather can be hostile up in the frozen north.
On the darkest days of winter, a storm hits the Crystal Empire with unforeseen force, bringing along ice and snow but also an ancient threat.
How will the royal family handle this threat and protect their subjects?

Long long ago, as the resentment came and built up within the Princess of the night. Princess Luna had begun to act out of her regular duties as Princess of Equestria, from leaving the castle without escort to visiting foreign lands without permission. She had even forged a forbidden romance with a ruler of a faraway land, as their bond grew, so did their love for each other. Not too long after their 5th date, she laid down with this ruler and had given a name to an heir to their names. Instead of bringing the couple even closer together like any other parents, it drove them apart. Princess Luna had grown scared and feared the reaction her sister would have of this forbidden relationship, rather than to confront her sister she turned to the father of the child for help. She had asked him to hide the child within his kingdom, to raise him as his own and promised him that one day they would be back in each other's hooves.

Starlight Glimmer’s spell goes wrong and not just a little wrong like it originally did by creating multiple bad futures but wrong in an even worse way. It didn’t just send twilight back a few years but rather it sent her back to the far flung past. To when Sombra ruled over the crystal kingdom.
Now she must return to her own time or make a new path unlike any other set before her.

This story is based off of a head-canon I have about Princess Sterling and Princess Gold Lily, the newest Princesses introduced in the "Rainbow Power" line of MLP brushables. It is still unknown if they will actually appear in season 5 or not, but I assume they will turn out like how Princess Skyla did.

It's the year 1851 in the state of Arkansas where a group of young black slaves, with the help of their masters son Nathaniel, attempt to escape to freedom in the north. Avoiding slave patrols and federal marshals the group make towards the Mississippi River where they travel upriver towards the north, but a violent storm and a strange blue mist sends the fugitive slaves and their accomplice someplace they didn't intend: the land of Equestria.

Now in a strange new land they must find a way to live among the lands inhabitants which happen to be alien creatures that look like human/horse hybrids. Living with the lands inhabitants may prove to be a bit challenging as there's a language barrier between them and the aliens. And the group got split apart upon entering the strange land during the storm, causing them to land in different parts of Equestria.

How will they survive in this strange new land? Will the inhabitants welcome them with open arms or will they reject them?

Rated teen for some mature content, but nothing too graphic, like descriptions of violence, disturbing imagery and some language. Perspective will change between the Ponies and Humans point of view.
