Welcome to 1987 Equestria! A place and time where cell phones doubled as bricks and the motor carriages were big enough to haul landfills around in the Manehatten River.

The mayor of Ponyville has found love and decides to settle down with her mate upon the end of her fourth term. This of which, corrupt business pony, Filthy Rich tries to capitalize on. With some encouragement from her best friend, Vinyl Scratch and some help from Twilight and the gang, Octavia stands up for what is right and runs for mayor to save the town. She and Vinyl moved to Ponyville a few years ago for the peace and quiet and she'll be damned if the sleepy, yet vibrant little town of less than six thousand ponies falls victim to the greed of corporate Equestria.

Filthy Rich of course doesn't play fair when it comes to the election and with the good of Ponyville in mind, Octavia finds that two can play at that game! All the while, Filthy's daughter is at her wits end as she gets caught right in the crossfire and desperately seeks a solution to this madness. It's late in the decade but the party is far from over! Who said politics was a boring, "behind the desk" job? For mild mannered Octavia, Things are about to get very real and her reserve tested to the limit!

Rated Teen for language, drug and alcohol references and other such suggestive dialog. Sex tag is for innuendos and vague references to sexual activities but nothing goes into graphic detail thus maintaining the Teen rating. Despite the different time period, the characters are all the same age as they are on the show and the "alternate universe" tag should cover that. Set it in 1987 because reasons. Written in the time of quarantine, I found myself wanting to write something obsessively, unrelentingly fluffy, gentle and sweet. No suffering, no real harm or unkindness; the real world has enough of that. Our world right now is incredibly stressful, so I wanted to write something that was as gentle, and as tender, as I needed to hear right now. Maybe you need to hear it, too. My go-to ship has always been Caramac (Caramel + Big Mac), so I went back to my roots for this one.

Caramel awakes suddenly from a terrible nightmare, but the nightmare only confirms his waking fears. Is he enough for Big Mac? He's clumsy, and slow, and he makes so many mistakes; what if Big Mac gets tired of him one day? Luckily, Big Mac is right there in bed with him to remind him just how much he is loved.

After a month, when Caramel found Applejack and started to work on Sweet Apple Arces, he started to see, how Applejack was changing through his eyes. She wasn't the same mare he expected and he started to feel, if he really doesn't belong to her....

The Equine world has four new guests; can Sephiroth, Cloud, Kaze and Makenshi get along long enough to help the Equine Realm before it is destroyed by the threats of the horrors that now seek to harvest it, and the monsters that have been freed from Tartarus? Or will they seek to rule this land for themselves?

It goes about as well as you think.

Deep beneath Ponyville lies a great secret in the form of a uber-secret facility formed by Luna shortly after her return. It was established without the knowledge of her sister or of the bearers of harmony. The mission of the facility was to protect Equestria from those that would try to harm it, ultimately protecting the element bearers from evil. Another goal of the facility was to research the mystical sciences unknown to ponykind through the study of a rift situated through ponyville through which certain creatures have entered, and also through the study of alien tech salvaged from different places across equestria. These are the adventures of the small team of Whooves, Lyra, Caramel, Colgate, and many others who seek to provide peace and technological advances in Equestria.

Caramel gets up the nerve to tell that special somepony something.

This is a crack fic. The idea came to me in a sudden bout of inspiration and I just had to write it! I don't expect much from it, but I hope to make you chuckle (or at least look at me all confused, and shake your head because I'm insane, that works too).

So yeah. Don't take this seriously. There isn't a `romance` tag for a reason.

High School can always be a troubling time when your the new kid. You don't have many friends, and all you have is your sibling. However as time goes on you forge new friendships, and new bonds that will last forever.

Sometimes, stories aren't long and involved. Sometimes they are short. Very short. But that's okay, because good things can come in small packages just as easily as they can come in big ones. These are minutia and scraps, odds and ends that speak but are not long enough to stand alone well. So instead, we have this hopefully interesting gumbo of romance, sad, dark, maybe even random comedy. BUT MOSTLY Shipping. Sorry, but as the venerable Donny Boy says:
