Neither Tempest nor Applejack even question that they're going to attempt a rescue. But the Citadel of Storms is a long way from Ponyville, and there's the problem of the entire army in their way...

Just because Bright Mac and Pear Butter are dead doesn't mean they're gone.

But things go pear-shaped after he starts spending more time with his physics teacher, Dr. Discord. Thanks to Dr. Discord's time machine, Big Mac becomes stranded in the year 1993, and that's not even the strangest part.

No, the strangest part is that his mom keeps flirting with him.

The Battle of Klugetown was a triumph. A huge success. The combined army of ponies, thestrals, and hippogriffs had liberated the slaves and overthrown Verkos' criminal regime with minimal causalities. Applejack's family anxiously awaited her return, with Applebloom eagerly wanting to hear about the epic battle and the countless acts of heroism that her big sister surely must have carried out.
