He had been nothing more than a drifter caught in a summertime thunderstorm. She had been an honest and dependable pony that gave her very essence to the land that her family tilled. Seeking shelter from the rain one dreary afternoon, the drifter met with the pony, and their lives would never be the same again. When the drifter disappeared into nothing one day many years ago, the pony lost the only thing that she had ever wanted.

A colt working on the farm seemed to have caught Applejack's eye. She noticed how he's a strong worker, despite things not always going in his favor and how he keeps screwing up. Now, if only she could remember his name.

Freshly founded, news of Ponyville spreads through a still developing country, drawing other earth ponies and some pegasi to join the effort. One of these families happens to have fur on their wings, and the slit eyes of predators. They ain't right.

Applejack doesn't "do" dating. Everypony knows that. But after her brother and Sugar Belle get together, she decides it's finally time to give this whole "relationship" business a shot.

Only problem is, she's gonna need a bigger mailbox...

Takes place prior to Season 8.

It's been a year now for the Pegasus, a year since the incident that caused her life to fall apart and sink to the very bottom. Life is just all a game and we are here to play, but surely and slowly the flame has burnt out. Rainbow Dash has decided her fate.
