Just a quick update to share the newly released translation of One Night into Simplified Chinese! This project was undertaken by ComradeSpark completely of his own volition—he asked me for permission, and I was, of course, thrilled to oblige. Widow Peak translated I Have This Friend into Spanish.
Sadly, I cannot really read Spanish (French is more my speed), but it is always neat to see that someone thought so much of one of my works that they wanted to translate it into another language altogether in order to share it with folks.

A couple nights ago I totally had too much caffeine or something, because I Did Not Sleep.
I got real intrigued by a website I found recently, thuum.org, and took a stab at learning how Dovahzul works. That's the dragon language from the Elder Scrolls series, for you non-gaming philistines out there!
While my memorized vocabulary may be nonexistent, with a dictionary, I can muddle by. I think?
Anyway, the point is, my insomniac night produced something.
My good friend Sapphire Scroll is going to be streaming himself translating Pegasus Device: Reckoning into Polish tomorrow (January 3rd), starting at 02:00 (AM) EST, and should be going to 19:00 (7PM) EST.
He'll also be playing readings of other grimdark fanfictions at the same time, so stop by and keep him some company! I'll be popping in as well for the second half!
A Mad Glimmer and A Crazed Gleam aren't exactly my proudest works. Especially not Gleam, written partly as a way to come to terms with Starlight's reformation when it was hot off the press and partly because I legitimately didn't predict it when planning Glimmer. (It was Season 5; we were still a ways away from the likes of "Sweet and Smoky.") That said...
Read my last blog and you'll find I'm trying to translate a splendid Chinese fan fiction, which I really want to share with you, into English.
However, there's a problem that my grasp of the language is inadequate, which is going to ruin the whole story. It would be a failure if the language doesn't match the story. So, if anypony is so nice to be interested with my work, PLEASE contact with me and we'll talk about this.

Just learned that one of my stories has been translated to Russian (months ago at that). I really don't know what to say. It's certainly not something I expected, and I've no words how happy I am that people enjoyed it enough to go ahead with this :D.
My dad once told me a joke about Russian literature:
"As Ivan Ivanov watched the rain fall against the window, a thousand thoughts went through his head. Thought number one ... "

So, as some of you know, I'm very fascinated with a unique little thing we call "Japan." I take a large amount of interest in this country, from its music, to its language, to its culture. I'm what many Japanese people refer to as 「しんにち」(pronounced shin-nichi, literally means "Pro-Japanese"). I am interested in Japan enough that I am making an effort to learn to speak Japanese.

I never thought this would happen to me, but one of my readers who liked my story so much, this person went through the effort to translate my story, "Sunset's Wonderful Life" to Spanish on FanFiction. I do not speak Spanish, but I'm both thankful and honored to be selected, and I wanted to share this to all of you! 
Interesting things keep happening these days. I got a message the other day from a fellow named SPANIARD KIWI asking to make a Spanish translation of Hot Cocoa is Illegal in Yakyakistan.
So yeah, now you can go read about yaks snorting Swiss Miss in Español!

Fanfic is weird.
So, awhile back, GrandCat started translating The Flash Sentry Papers into Russian. The existence of A) Russian Bronies and B) Russian Bronies that would want to read my fic is something new to me.
But wait, there's more!
As not only has my work been translated, it's now been audiobook'd. Or, uh, Youtube reader'd. Just ... in Russian.

Well, at last I started my translation experiments to make story affordable to readers. Besides word to word translation I also try some "auto-translate" with some in context tweaks and changes. But still result seems bad. Really bad. So it no good even for rough 1st step translation ether. Sad, but I need to try it too before start.
