Shoutout For A Rather Enjoyable Story. · 6:07am Jun 11th, 2016

So, as some of you know, I'm very fascinated with a unique little thing we call "Japan." I take a large amount of interest in this country, from its music, to its language, to its culture. I'm what many Japanese people refer to as 「しんにち」(pronounced shin-nichi, literally means "Pro-Japanese"). I am interested in Japan enough that I am making an effort to learn to speak Japanese.

So, through my blindly fervent strong love of many things Japanese, I was able to exchange words with a Fimfic user who is actually Japanese. Although I have exchanged only a few words with him, I believe him to be a very polite and courteous person. He goes by the username Sasho-shirokami.

Now, Shirokami has a friend, who also has a Fimfic account, whom he refers to as "Otonashi." And the two of them both made their own individual Englsih translations of an MLP fanfiction Shirokami had written in Japanese.

Sasho posted Otonashi's translation onto his own Fimfic page, and his own translation on DeviantArt.

While I do feel Otonashi's translation was better than Shirokami's, both did an excellent job. And regardless of translation, Sasho is the original author.

With all that being said, I want to make this blog post about Sasho's story, as he did a very good job on writing it, and I feel it deserves more recognition than it has received. I'm not asking you to automatically love it, but I think you should go read at least one of the translations, and give your thoughts on it. Just help Sasho gain a bit more traction, as he is evidently very good at writing.
