Slowly taking mom through the Equestria Girls films, and it is unfortunately reminding me of the point I keep returning to over the past year:
Sunset Shimmer got the shortest stick of the entire cast of the 4th gen of MLP, because the suits at Hasbro pulled the plug before her story could come to any kind of definitive conclusion, and I am very annoyed at that.
Such a disservice to the character.

As I said in my previous blog post, I planned on getting around to explaining the burnout on what was previously my OTP, SunLight. I've talked to a few people about this to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, so to speak. I wanted to make sure everything I say here was what I wanted to say, and that I could be as concise as possible. Still, it's gonna be a thing either way, so lemme explain.

A month ago, the dramatic reader Sunlestia did an audio reading for one of my stories. Or, uh, one of the stories on my alt account. I only found out when I noticed that the story was in an audiobook group. The first result on YouTube ended up being said audio reading. I was in awe that someone was able to voice both Sunset Shimmer, Princess Celestia, and a narrator all on their own. While Sunlestia doesn't say my story is "poggers" like the reader of my last story, you should totally still

You will get a new Nightmare Night chapter tonight or tomorrow morning. The second chapter, unfortunately, is only half-finished and might take another week. The main issue this time is work--I have a slew of intensive online training modules to go through, and I’m way behind on them. It’s a good skill to know, so I’ll do it, for the sake of my next job if my current one. For those curious, I’m learning about The Cloud, which is something all pegasus programmers would no doubt know how

I’ve been crazy busy with other projects— putting them together, establishing other stories, video and graphic edits, etc etc.
But please don’t think I’m letting the story just sit there! I have upwards of around 30+ chapters already written out, they just need to be redrafted and edited! But the content is there!

Sorry to all that have been waiting for this story to update. I am currently in the process of revising every single chapter. So what you may have read in the past may no longer apply due to changes in perspective and plot elements. it will still have the same premise, but since the rules dictate that I am not allowed to post a story that is the same as a previous one, EVERY chapter will be changed in the coming weeks.
So a funny thing happened when I posted a new story, "The Same Mistake You're Making", earlier this morning. I was suddenly hit with four downvotes before two minutes had even passed.
One isn't surprising. Four is a little off-putting. And three of them had very clearly dropped at the exact same instant.

A Dismissed Sunset
Sunset Shimmer stepped out the magical portal mirror. Then used her magic to pick the biggest couch she could find and smash the damn thing to pieces.
"Never, ever again."
She was finally back home.
Granted she would be probability get arrested but compared to the years without magic and as hairless ape... worth it.
She had been such a fool by getting tricked by the darn mirror, it was probably just a stupid test and she failed it.

I thought I'd give a few more details about the project, talk about where the ships are at in their relationships when we meet them, and go into what the process has been like in collaborating with an artist this closely.
So, to recap what this project is:
The biggest mistake that EqG made was not making Sunset's demon form an eldritch horror. I know it's a kid's show, but the fact that they didn't show how horrifying the transformation was/could have been (outside of like her tears evaporating away as she transformed) really made Sunset's heel-face turn at the end of the movie… kind of less believable. Like even Sci-Twi's transformation felt more horrific? Even though she was painted as a tragic and unintentional antagonist rather than a
