Spoilers below for the episode!
First of all, before I spoil anything, let me get this out of the way:
There! Now...
OHMIGOSHOMIGOSHOMIGOSH!!!
The episode opens with a song. Cool! I mean, that doesn't happen a lot! In fact, the last time that happened was...
Twilicorn.
Huh. Should have been our first clue that something big was about to go down.
Spoilers below the cut! You've been warned!
Well this...honestly isn't going to make it into my Top 3 season premieres. It wasn't completely awful, but it also didn't impress me. It was an interesting concept for an episode, but they did quite a few things wrong. Overall I give it a modest 4/10. Probably wouldn't watch again, but that doesn't mean it was completely bottom tier.
In this week's episode of MLP, Rarity and Pinkie Pie are sent to Canterlot by the Cutie Map. There, they find a struggling father-daughter restaurant and decide to help the pair. But Rarity and Pinkie Pie soon find themselves disagreeing about how to go about improving the restaurant.
Here's a link to a vector of a scene from Fallout Equestria: Our Will. The scene is from Chapter 11: Recovery when Sienna meets Sky. Hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think!
So I haven't exactly put out much work over the last few months. I'm really sorry about that; between my laptop breaking all the time, the freelance work piling on, and general ennui and angst, I've been dragging my feet like a snail getting drunk on molasses. And not even good molasses, but the sludgy kind your grandma put away in the back of her cupboard fifty years ago and promptly forgot about. Now there's gunk everywhere and the slimy gurgling vermin are caught in a sucky deathtrap like
WARNING: Do not move past the jump if you haven't read the final chapter of 7DSJ Book III yet. Spoiler.
So I bought this big sticker/activity book from a Target back in 2012. A month or so later, I noticed one of the Twilight stickers had wings.
So, Mykan has a "plan" it seems.
I'm watching later Season 8 eps leaked on Dailymotion...
Jesus Christ. At least go for kimcartoons.
And I'm going to try a little experiment.
Does it involve you stucking your head in an oven?
The episodes are there, they just doesn't have any background music, but if next week the episode plays out exactly the same as I see it now...
We all know that the King of Ducks is going whine about how evil the new season of MLP is being and how much better Starfleet would be. Because you know: The Alicorn nazis from outer space have been known so much so far about how well their education system works. Being able to not even identify a simple robot when it attacks a place or lacking common sense.
Anyway, lets talk about something fun. The new season opener. Which in my opinion was overall okay.
Remember how I said that the end of Chapter 6 was the most violent part?
I was wrong. The end of Chapter 7 turned out to be the most violent part in the entire story. The good news is, there's nothing in the outline that could possibly justify that level of violence for the rest of the story, so if it bugs some of you readers, you're seeing the worst of it. (Like I said, this wasn't intended to be a violent story, it's just that sometimes violence ends up being semi-necessary to the plot)
I'm sick so I made highly specific fanfic memes all day
Spoilers for everything, I guess.
Minor Spoilers for Rainbow Roadtrip follow.
So, like, I just gotta say, Kerfuffle is probably my favorite character introduced in Hope Hollow. I love her design, especially her outfit, I love her personality, which is both fun and relatable, and I love her cute little voice and just the name "Kerfuffle". She's just super cute!
1. I have written most of my stories on my phone. I rarely use the computer to do this, only the final spellchecking happens with a computer.
2. The name Shimmering Thunder came way before the story, The Power Within. I just couldn't come up with any other name, so I used this one.
3. Even though I wrote a coltcuddler story, I'm not a coltcuddler myself.
4. After two years plus, I'm still in the closet with these ponies. Nobody in real life knows about it.
To preface this review. I played The Last Of Us Part 1 a week before part 2. It was actually the first time I played the game, and I was blown away by the sheer beauty of its storytelling. The setting and gameplay was also a joy, and it felt so special and unique.
Warning: The following blog will contain spoilers for the current incarnation of my story idea. Please DO read it if you are willing to bear that risk, and offer suggestions for how it may be improved or for things that would fit well. There are a few parts that I feel are a bit too much like crossovers or that might break immersion by being "Look, suddenly a ___!"
Y'know,
Things start getting complicated when you subdivide your story arcs by sub-arcs.
