At the time I first wrote this, I was celebrating A Little Space getting featured. That's always a great feeling, and I appreciate everyone who helped make it happen.
Apparently your blog count includes deleted entries, so my 100th is less relevant than I'd like. (EDIT: It's even more confusing! Apparently the blog count shows your maximum blog count. So I'll have to count all my blog entries to know when 100 is finally coming.) 
Anyway, I need to list a bunch of story changes, so here they are...
I'm in the current Writeoff and I'm bound to pass the cut. My story is good enough.

Not much to report this week. I finally published a story that's been sitting in my files for a few weeks: Childhood's End, a WriteOff entry from the last pony short story round.
I've been accused of abusing dreams as a vehicle for storytelling. To this accusation, I say: you are correct. Dreams are the lazy author's way of inventing a fantastical scene that could never otherwise exist.
But damn me, I love writing them. They overflow with potential for story ideas.
Most of my recent creative output has been on Fimfiction. This site shares some characteristics with the larger world of fiction, but other characteristics are unique. This makes it difficult to develop the right mindset for evaluating my art.
Short but all-important addendum to the thing I posted mere minutes ago. Looking through some libraries here, a vulgar epiphany hit me in the muzzle.
I know exactly what I need to do, more than anything, to become a better author.

So there is a group which periodically runs write-off competitions. They are short things, but often feature a lot of fairly solid writers writing new stories under fairly tight time constraints. Wow, last time I actually posted a new story was February. I've been busy as hell writing in the past 6 months, but none of it has made it to you yet. The Sunset Shipping Project has all seven stories completed, but I'm still getting them all polished up to perfection.
In the meantime, I have a new oneshot for you that I recently entered into the "End of an Era" writeoff contest. It didn't do all that well, but I've fixed up what I suspect were most of the major issues.
Good news, everypony! Now that the Original Fiction Writeoff is complete, we're back to ponies! And you know what that means!

Yesterday, I attended the NoHo’s annual Lit Crawl (that’s North Hollywood for you out of town folks…which is perhaps all of my followers 
).
In about 30 hours from the time of this post, a short-story Writeoff round is going to start! Authors will have three days to produce between 2000 and 8000 words based on a collectively voted prompt, and submit that story to the Writeoff site where your fellow authors (and the public) can read and rate it. They're seeking pony stories of 2000-6000 words by Monday, March 6. The prompt is "Growing up wild and forever free". There are six categories, each of which has a prize of $20 plus possible publication in the conbook.
There is a relatively unknown writer on Fimfiction who is a very good writer. I don't normally do promotional stuff, but his follower count is low and his stories are excellent. It's maddening that more ponies don't know about him.
