Once upon a time, I did my writing with Microsoft Word.
Poor Flurry Heart!
Four years ago, I had practically just finished my last day of eighth grade, and I was done with my exams. Four months prior, I had my first ever break-up. Four years ago today, at age 14, I joined this site.
I had discovered Fimfiction about a year before, but I had gotten so busy that it wasn't until earlier 2013 that I rediscovered it. I decided I wanted to join, but I first had to think of a name.
It is that time of the year again, 18th February. Age went up to twenty-one. Is this really already the third consecutive blog post I made on me getting older?
What this means for me now is actually super complex and long to explain.
(Before you ask me, I'm still looking for my copy of this because I have yet to have it in my collection; same with Cruising and My Little Pony: Escape from Catrina)
So, this book arrived today.
And I quote:
"Noooooo!" Lyra called out as she burst from the closet.
G. M. Berrow, you scamp.
Many moons and suns ago, there lived a ruler of ponies. She had been through many hardships, done many things to defend her kingdom, and things were prosperous. Now and then, she saw flickers of evil and corruption among her subjects, but that was normal. So she thought.
One day, her sister attacked her. Her sister had been tainted by emotions and urges, twisted herself into a monster. She sealed her sister away, hoping to find a cure.
My quest to continue to make myself less late with patreon reward posts continues! This particular post is brought to you by Nuclearcore! Nuclearcore wanted me to share my thoughts on comic book character and galaxy class fragger, Lobo! So, let's explode some tires and start some gunfire!
I managed to keep my word. A new chapter is up, thankfully, and another one will be posted next week. I hope you enjoy.
Some background first.
So, as some know, I've had two boyfriends and I'm on a third.
The first boyfriend lasted a month and I'm not entirely sure either of us really felt anything for each other. Haven't talked to him in a while, but I still consider him a friend *shrug*
I've never really looked at my own body of work and tried to suss out a general theme. As far as I know, I don't really have an identity as far as what I write, at best having one for how I write. I don't know that you could sum my work on Fimfiction up in one sentence, the way you could say that Majin Syeekoh writes irreverent comedy with intermittent navel-gazing, or that Carapace and friends write fluffy romances about the contrast between sour and sweet. Of course, if you can, feel free. I
In a sudden fit of productivity, I decided that it was time for me to actually finish a story yesterday and post it. It won sixth place in the last write-off, out of more than fifty entrants, and was within just a few fractions of a point of second place. I thought it was a bit unlike what I usually write - a metafic comedy, referencing the recent stories about fatal teleportation, Saturdays, and various other silly things - but Bradel thought it was in line with The Stars Ascendant in
Been a while since I did a set of Read It Now reviews; been gleaning a lot of stories off of my high priority read later list. But there were some interesting-sounding recent stories, so I’d take a peek at them.
Today’s stories:
My Little Nyx With Cupcakes At The Rainbow Factory by Estee
Where Do Babies Come From? by Chillbook1
Stepping Off by SPark
Gravity’s Rainbow by Queen Crimson
Hang by AShadowOfCygnus
Best Ending ever. I even got to keep the alicorn forme!
