Hey y'all, Arta checking in. Here's the skinny.
Just taking a few days for myself, taking a well-needed writing break. I've been doing a fair bit of writing the past few weeks, so yeah, I just needed some me-time to recoup and recharge the writing batteries.
Is it true? Is the Celestia and Luna episode we've always wanted really going to have Glimmer ruining it with a cliche Freaky Friday STOCK PLOT?
And you can expect this to be a thoroughly exhausting report. Read more after the break!
DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
And now, a thorough and exhausting report:
tl;dr it was awesome.
Longer and thoroughly exhausting edition: It was thoroughly awesome, and i'm probably gonna watch all the S8 episodes except for shitty ones involving the ancestors given what this one was like.
Summer is upon us, and you know what that means. Free from the shackles of the educational institution, bored and attention-starved teenagers crawl onto the net in droves to socialize 24/7 and (often) get stirred up in all kinds of shit. Fimfic, sadly, doesn't have the good fortune to be exempt from it. I don't think we can complain too much, though. It does make for a lot of good material. Which is, of course, always nice.
I felt that the last Bronycon deserved remembering, recalling and recording in detail. To preserve for posterity as full a picture of it as I can manage. Because its like will not come again. That doesn’t mean the fandom is done, or that there’s any less love involved. I will be here for years to come. So will you. For all I know, the best days of FIM fanfiction are yet to come. And, after the con, I feel more connected to it than ever before.
It has been a long time since my last recommended stories post, but I figured that before a nice long three day weekend (at least, here in the states, where Memorial Day is on Monday), some folks might want some good stuff to read.
All of these are taken off my favorites stories list from before I started writing reviews, so all of them are very good stories. Some of you may have read some of these, but if you haven’t, you shouldn’t keep missing out.
Today’s stories:
So if you've been following my blog for awhile, you've probably caught wind that I've been working on a sort of "final edit" of "Grief is the Price We Pay." To clarify, this edit would leave the core plot of the story mostly unchanged (so yes, the ending and the events concerning it would remain largely the same), however, it would:
So I've been thinking about "Grief is the Price We Pay" lately.
Last week's thing is done. Another ongoing mess tidied.
This week, it's Weed Day on Weed Month. That means a compilation of stories from our weediest repeat offender. Good luck.
New Derpy-centred one-shot soon, as well as a Shadow of Equestria update.
Pay more attention to the Shadow of Equestria story under pain of being frowned at.
Working fully on the next Project Sparkle update afterwards.
Other stories are that are on the go are going. Slowly.
15 More days before the egg nog is gone...
Since starting "Grief is the Price We Pay," I've successfully been able to post new chapters regularly on a Monday/Friday schedule, thanks to planning ahead and always having a notable buffer of six to ten completed chapters between the posted chapter and the chapter I would be presently writing. I've been able to maintain that schedule for far longer than I feared, to my great joy, and I was starting to think that
Okay, it might just be me and what I've noticed, but it's actually bothering me.
People disliking without saying why.
Well, it's been two full years since my largest story ever has started, and I am proud with how far it's come. I'm thankful for all the people who have helped support it all this time, and I hope as it comes to a close soon people will continue to enjoy it and support it through their comments, favorites, and the like. We're at our penultimate chapter tonight, to be released in approximately six to seven hours, and I look forward to bringing us that one step closer to our end.
