Welcome back, writers! It’s late, but it’s new! That’s right, the internet is up at my new place and that means more Being a Better Writer!
Welcome back, writers! It’s late, but it’s new! That’s right, the internet is up at my new place and that means more Being a Better Writer!
For those who haven't seen my post about it a few days ago, it is once again April, and as I've done for the last few years, I'm running my horror event, possibly for the last time...
Jesus, it's been a little bit and a half, hasn't it?
No, I haven't abandoned the story. I'm just starting to collate all the ideas into one place, then start chapter outlines. My ideas are spread between a text file, notebook, and note app on my phone. I need to consolidate and organize my ideas by chapter, fix inconsistencies and the like.
Again, I will mention that I am retconning Equestria Girls. Not because I hate it or anything, but because:
#1 - It will cause issues with my story, which I'd deal with except for...
A bold title, yes, but not an untrue one.
You see, I’ve been working on a number of writing projects and one of them is an actual book to be published. Because of this I’ve been doing a number of things that are new to me and I came to a realization; I can research how to write all I want, and I can practice trying to be the best I can, but you learn stuff differently when, on purpose, you do something wrong.
Hey, guys.
Just a thing I've been meaning to do for a bit now:
As you can see, I've taken the liberty of splitting the story up into chapters, 'cause yeah, 20k is a lot to have to either read through all at once or bother remembering/marking where you were every time you close the tab. Too little too late, perhaps, but I figured better late than never still trumps that.
Onward and Upward!
Okay, okay, I'm one to talk. Bookplayer's "Lost Time" has been on my radar ever since she started publishing it, but I didn't bother reading it until Sunday. I still haven't read all of it—the story completes this Saturday—though I'm slightly ahead of the Fimfiction content.
One, I'm putting Second Contact on hiatus for a while. I just need a break from brainstorming and trying to figure out how I'm going to write myself out of the corner I managed to write myself into in the first place. I don't need that kind of headache right now.
I have not been on for a while...
Probably should get back to re-working Odd Jobs...
Since I promised to get it done a few months ago.
:P
I'm going to get back to work on Odd Jobs and I'll try to get the next chapter out before the end of the month.
Sorry about the delay, I don't really have an excuse for my unannounced break.
Then again, it's not like my presence matters in any way right?
;D
Anyway bye,
Kisses!
I am a writer. I adore criticism and creative improvement, and when I hear back from my readers I rejoice! Whether it is positive praise or critical evaluation, hearing from you is always a potentially eye-opening affair that I always look forward to. Now, the voting system in Fimfiction is not super helpful to that ideal in itself. I would love to know what you think about my writing. I want to know what you think, whether its praise or condemnation. I see all the up-votes on a story and

Dear Readers,
Celestia here, writing on behalf of TOM. He's having a... small existential crisis at the moment, mumbling something about changeling rocks. He'll be back next week, but in the meantime, he wanted me to conduct a survey for him on his behalf, one regarding the current status of Letters.
Yeah, I hate to do this, everyone. I am working on the chapter, and progress has been made, but a certain medical condition of mine reared its ugly head and thoroughly ruined my ability to concentrate on writing earlier this week, and while I feel better now, it's also a very busy time at work, and I don't think I can concentrate on both this fanfic and my students at the same time. So, since people pay me to teach and not to write about adorable robot ponies, I'm afraid I'm

Remember this blog from back in June?
Well, I've started working on this SunLight clop fic again and I have finally reached the promised land of Twilight spankings.
The Final Word
Show of hands, who’s tired of seeing these back and forth blog posts of whether I’m updating or not? I know I am Unfortunately, here’s another one, and it doesn’t exactly have good news in it.
