We should refer to the shipping of Maud and Starlight Glimmer as Glam Rock.
That is all.

Another round of absolutely brilliant mashups composed by the golden-eared Bill McClintock. Bill has such an incredible ear mixing and engineering the new tunes that if you were not familiar with the source songs, you would swear that those were "regular" songs.
i've mentioned it before, but the gap between now and Nightmare Night is killing me, its all original story that i haven't been carefully planning for years now (save for one scene) and i can't help but feel insecure about it.
i still have a couple of crucial scenes to write on the latest chapter of Family Tree, and it's already at over 8,000 words. i know that's not all that long in retrospect, but the average FT chapter is usually around 5k so it feels very wordy to me.
I'm not usually one to commission artists. Most of my ideas work better in a written context, and even the ones that don't can be incorporated into stories. But sometimes I get moments of inspiration that only work in pictures, and my own artistic skills consist of halfway competent collage skills with preexisting backgrounds and vectors. So, I turned to better talents.
1. Putting marbles into a big tin and beating them around with a pencil.
2. Googling 'Google' until your fingers hurt
3. Holding a specific key of the keyboard until it fills a whole page
4. Opening and closing a door repeatedly.
5. Staring at a clock for an entire minute.
6. Clicking on emotes forever
The best way to grow as a writer, I'm told, is to challenge yourself. Deliberately try to do something different. Unfamiliar genres, Oblique Strategies, artificial conditions, whatever.
IN WHICH I TAKE THE PLUNGE
No music video today. Just letting y'all know I've posted the first chapter of The Rejected after sitting on it for nearly a year. We're in the home stretch for SRA now, folks. I plan to spend time this weekend cleaning up the second chapter so I can post it on Monday. There are four chapters total; all are on the site awaiting final tweaks. Full author notes will come once it's all out. Hope you enjoy! Peace out!
Hello! This is Sci-Twi! Yeah, I’ve hacked into GJ’s account. I’m writing my first blog post now.
1. Mr D. S. Cord, my old science teacher.
I’d give him a 3/5. His lessons don’t even use books! Where’s the fun in that?
2. Principal Cinch, my old school’s principal.
I’d give her a 1/5. As her name implies, Principal Abacus Cinch taught me maths. I loved the lessons, but she never ever was friendly to anyone.
Actually, I’m renaming GJ’s username. Bye!
I’m out. Peace!
Been done for about a week, actually. I'm holding it hostage 'till we actually hit that mark.
IN WHICH THREE HUNDRED
Before I begin today's rant. I promised y'all something like this. Enjoy!
I like TFR's more experimental take on this one. I also like experimenting in writing. More past the jump.
Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who decided I'm worth paying attention to, now that another hundred have joined in. Not sure how many are still on the site, but I do appreciate it.
Contained after the break: Three writing prompts in no particular order, a discussion about what makes a good writing prompt for different situations or reasons, and the friendliest competition in the comments section that you ever will see.
The final show has aired, the final canon ships have been launched, the final spoiler warnings have been lifted, and we now find ourselves in a brave new era ...
... an era where the pony infosec parody account @ShiftOnSecurity is no longer anonymous.
The good half writes clop. (source)
The bad half writes things more disturbing than clop.
Not generally on this site, though. With a few exceptions, I like to protect the pones.
I'm functioning on double espresso right now and even remembered that I have a written and edited chapter for 'Enemy of Mine'!
These things are definitely related!
You're gonna get it at 3 am EST for the above reasons!
Thanks!
I don't want to imply that I'm not floored by the love and tollerance of most of the Brony community, or that I'm not very pleased by the reception my writing gets. But: WHY DO PEOPLE DOWNVOTE MY CLOPS? Are these people homophobes (they definitely are, my M/M fics get hammered especially hard)? Do they think incest is gross? Understandable, but don't piss in my cereal. Is it because I don't actually have a sex drive IRL and I'm getting how sex works wrong? Is it because I have a chart detailing
Yes I am still alive. Sorry for my long absense. I have been dealing with techical and financial problems for the past few months. Hopefully soon I'll be be here regularly again.
Since I'm very... Sporradic to say the least when it comes to writing stories, I got some lying around which I'll probably never finish. That's sad. So I decided that maybe I could post some of the workable bits here.
