Games ponies play, for day 9 of the NATG IV in 2014. CMC playing Kick the Can, based on this:

Przewalski (chevvalski) wild horses kicking the box. Except they also stomp and rip the box to shreds as that too is part of the fun.

I had a happy one. It was quiet. It was me and the cats. I am thankful for naps, which I don't get to take enough of. I've got lots of grading to do, but today I actually spent some time on the couch just letting my cats use me as furniture and petting them. It was great, except that my girl is so affectionate that she has to pat me on the face with her paw, which contains a punch of dirty hypodermics, so I had to get up and get Neosporin and trim her claws, and then we resumed.

The last few blogs have been, in a word, hectic, for me.

A few nights ago, I've seen my grandmother get taken to hospital for the third time, fearing she'd never come home, my anxiety has been kicking my ass, my passion for writing has died out entirely with no hopes of returning, my life is still in shambles on the mental side of things and I've generally felt lost as a person, with no clue what to expect for the future. Still alive, summer has been brutal and my motivation to do stuff after work has been pretty low.

However, I have done some larger copy editing for the general flow of some later chapters. Right now I'm working on actually adding a new chapter or two to help fill out where the story is and better the overall flow. This also gives me more time to do what I should have done when I wrote this part of the story before. Which is do more with introducing the city and the town Moony is staying in.
