Friendship is Card Games: Free Hugs

From the same animator/speech synthesist who brought us The Tax Breaks (Twilight), we have an adaptation of 8686’s Free Hugs! Let’s look at the economic ramifications.

Friendship is Card Games: Trixie and the Razzle-Dazzle Ruse

We return to the pony novels this week, and hopefully a better showing from the titular mare. Last time we saw Trixie in one of these, G. M. Berrow was channeling the fandom circa 2011 and making her and Gilda the designated antagonists of the piece. Let’s see what she’s up to this time.

Friendship is Card Games: Kenbucky Roller Derby #2 & #3

We return to the cutthroat world of G5 roller derby, where Sunny’s trying her darndest to prove she’s more than just a casual skater… and has assembled one of the most ragtag teams of misfits this side of the Mighty Ducks in the process. Let’s see how the story’s developed from there.

    Swan Song

No, not mine. The Barcast's. The last call is currently under way, and if you want to hear my part in the grand interview lightning round, you can tune in at 4:20 Eastern/1:20 Pacific (about an hour from this posting.)

Yes, 4:20 on 4/20. No, I do not partake. Sorry to disappoint. :derpytongue2:

    Pest List

Just something I whipped together for fun one day, set to a possibly recognizable tune, all intended in good fun. And hey, given that I derived my Fimfic handle from a misremembered detail of the Mikado, it's only appropriate. :derpytongue2:

My First Tome · 10:14pm Jul 22nd, 2019

Well, everyone else is doing it.

Come to Bronycon and one of these handsome examples of FoMEwords can be yours! And while you're there, be sure to check out the "Ponyfic: There Can Be Only One" panel in the Hall of the Moon at 11:15 AM on Saturday, where I and several other RCL curators will determine the absolute, super-cereal best horse story of all time.

Congrats, man. Five-odd years in, I'm still worldbuilding and outlining mine. :twilightsheepish: I guess I could try converting the Flight Camp stories, but the first one would require a massive overhaul/re-write :twilightoops: So much cringe in hindsight...

What was I saying again?

Heh. Congrats.

Also, digging the cover art. :raritywink:

LOL that cover. :rainbowdetermined2:

I’m buying one.

I am so triggered by that cover you don't even know

congratulations though :3

Dude, that’s awesome! I already planned to get one but this is really cool.

If you're anything like me you'll minimize its significance while pushing more challenges on yourself just so you don't have to admit that you achieved something :derpytongue2: Like asking yourself what it would take to turn this into an original work that you can sell to a traditional publisher.

...This task may be even more daunting for you than for me, actually. Even without talking animals.

For serious though, congratulations.

Nice. :)

... can I get one by mail order?

Hey, congrats!

I’m probably not going to make it to Bronycon this year, but if you have any left over I’d be happy to order one.

Credit goes to iisaw there. He was incredibly generous; I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who will have his work gracing mine.

5092714
May I ask what the triggering aspect is?

5092719
Yeah, my stuff tends to be really reliant on MLP as a foundation. Not exactly a case of just filing off the serial numbers.

5092744
I'll be making offers along those lines after Bronycon. Stay tuned!

5092757
oh I'm not triggered for realsies or anything

but you really could slap that cover on as a logo for a newly founded institution called Our Holy Immaculate Baconhair First Shimmerist Church and everyone would just be like "yeah that tracks" :pinkiehappy:

That's awesome! If you have any left over, I'd love to order one.

I haven't read the Oversaturation stories but I think I'd be pretty willing to join FoME's horse women cult.

Welcome to the club, FoME! :pinkiehappy:

5092763

Hell, I'd join that. :raritystarry:

Brilliant. You go mate !! :ajsmug:

So
thats a rather incredible accomplishment you have achieved
congrats

and if things work out on my end ill try and get a copy after the con

Congrats!

If I pulled the trigger on purchasing it, do I need to reserve it here on this site to make sure there’s a cop he left for me? How many do you have?

Clearly you need to write another one to see if it's repeatable. You know… for science :scootangel:

Wait a minute... "tome"... "FoME"... I can't believe I only just got that. (My excuse is that it's clearly pronounced "foamy".)

Congratulations! That is quite the achievement, and the way you should process it is by being proud of what you managed to do. You deserve that:raritywink:

I've been working on filing the serial numbers off Tales. It's workable as a non-pony story and would probably be received better...
Also 11,000 tickets being sold for Bronycon... yeah nah I'm not going...

I second this, that guy is crazy generous and skilled. He's done several covers for me, and every time I'm uncertain about something and every time it turns out I was wrong and he had it right to begin with :rainbowlaugh:

Yeah, my stuff tends to be really reliant on MLP as a foundation. Not exactly a case of just filing off the serial numbers.

Oh yeah, aint that the truth... At least my main characters are OC in almost everything but name to begin with. But there's an entire cosmology there I never had to explain to the reader. Thinking up how to replace that foundation is... daunting.

I'll let you know how everything stands afterwards.

5092763 5092767 5092786
I still love Albinocorn's reaction when I told him about the Oversaturated World:

Me: "Basically, it's a world where Sunset becomes God."
Albi: "So what's different?"

5092852
I had twenty copies printed. It's a decent margin above what the number of interested buyers according to the survey. Aquaman doesn't want more than ten copies of any given book available at the booth at any given time, so I can literally hold a few in reserve. That said, you should be able to grab one at the Bookstore itself. And i you can't, I'll make them available for purchase online after the con.

5092875

My excuse is that it's clearly pronounced "foamy".

It actually isn't. FoME –> foam –> bubbles –> best pony. :derpytongue2:

5092898
Fair enough. Let me know when Tales is available for purchase!

5092916

FoME –> foam –> bubbles –> best pony. :derpytongue2:

How deep does the conspiracy go?!

5092875
... but Foamy's a squirrel, isn't he?
