I still ain't dead! · 8:45pm Dec 14th, 2020
For those who don't know, I finally published the next chapter of my (thus far) one and only story. Took me long enough.
Good news, this chapter was cut short, so to speak, as I was writing right past it. I realized I needed to put a break in there for a little breathing room before the breathing got heavy (what?).
Honestly, I was more terrified of this chapter than any of the others. It may sound silly, but the other (wonderful) ponies bring their own unique chaos to my writing. I don't exactly know how they'll react or what they'll do. And this chapter was one where I wanted more attention on the mane six. I know we have an m.c. and all that, but he needs to get out there and interact with ponies. There must be some kind of friendships in there. Or else, how would one be able to truly appreciate their loss? (What?!)
I wanted Brendon to be more forgiving this time around but it didn't fit and he didn't want it. He's been hurt in the past and he's hanging on to a bit of that.
Again and again I find that even when I'm so nervous about writing the next part, as soon as I begin the whole thing flows like nothing was ever wrong. A big issue for time around was that I took so many stops from the chapter. It's dangerous as there may be a "flow" missing in the segments where you pick it back up. The context of the past 10 seconds in the fictional world may be lost and a character might do something they shouldn't. But that's what proofreading is for. I just need to learn to do more of it.
Truth be told, I also wanted Brendon and Fluttershy to get more alone time. Once the campfire got lit I groaned out loud. "No! Damn it! Now he's got to spend time with all of them! What the he'll are they going to do now?" And then the cider popped out. Yes!
Now the next part is already being filled out and we'll what's going to happen to these two foolish lovers. Some of you might suspect that one of them isn't nearly as drunk as they're letting on. Aaaaaaand I've said too much.
Be safe, ya'll! Enjoy the new content!
So, what's going on with the chapter dates and the site not sending notifications?

I have no flippin' clue. First time I heard.
EDIT: I think it's cause at one point I accidentally hit the publish button and then immediately unpublished it. True date should be December 12, 2020 I think.
You perilous bastard! I see right through your foreshadowing, you fool!
Dude, the last chapter was absolutely amazing; you definitely gave what you sought. The awkwardness between people becoming acquaintances, becoming friends with underlying tones. You're a conniving author and I respect it. Keep it up, hermano!
I could've sworn I saw your story on 'Latest Updates.' When I checked, the new chapter was nowhere to be seen. I figured there was a mistake of some sort.

I'll make sure that if I accidentally hit publish again I will copy that chapter, delete it, and publish an entirely new one.
You uploaded some like this months ago. You got writers-block don't you?

Kind of. For me it's not so much "I don't know what to write" as much as it is "I'm afraid I won't know what to write." Then I actually face the fear and POOF! it was just silly nonsense all along.
Even more has been my lack of time to write.
