I'm nearly finished with the rough draft, and once that's over then the editing will swiftly follow (as usual, too swiftly).
I offer my apologies for all those who hoped to have more of my story to devour during these months of COVID, but alas it was not to be. As of this post, I cannot offer any concrete update for future chapters. That does NOT MEAN that I won't finish the story. It will be. It just might take until 2022. (CRAP! I gave myself a deadline!)
Anyway, I'm still alive. Not dead. Not dying. Still writing. Still suffering.

I'm just happy that you haven't decided to abandon this little project.

The account name is TheraminTrees, and there's a ton of stuff on there about escaping abuse (especially mental abuse), unraveling such things like intrusive thoughts, self-reinforcing self-destructive patterns, and so on. Wholeheartedly recommend. And, as a smart man once said, getting better isn't like applying a cure, but rather more like rehearsing a role: you keep going through it until it becomes your nature.
And now you have two recommendations there. Hope they prove at least interesting, if nothing else. :-)
Also, for the record? Art takes as much time as it needs. It may never be complete (there's always something you can improve), but at some point it's shared with the world, and that's part of the cycle of life.
Take however much time you need, no less - but no more. By which I'm trying to say - nobody can judge how much you need but you (... and sometimes not even you, if we're being honest ;P). This is your labour of love, and it will take exactly as much as it will take. No apology is necessary, and no promises are expected. If you never finish it - it was not meant to be finished.
I will instead express hope that you eventually get there, and I get to read this story full of wonderfully immature, but oh so delectable feels! :D
And if only one person makes it to the end - that being you - I'd still call it a win. You made this, it exists through your effort. That's huge, my friend.
Though I certainly intend to keep reading.
Also... your characterisation of Fluttershy is heart-melting. She's still a bit naive in her desire to help (I suppose - on purpose), but it feels genuine. She doesn't have all the answers, or all the understanding, but in the end... that's not what kindness is about, is it. And kindness she has in spades... while at the same time, she's not limited to just that.
I'd say you nailed it. I think I've found my new head-canon Fluttershy.
