Sometimes life just smacks you upside the head. That happened today when life gave me a box that made me trip and fall on my porch.

Turns out life didn't just hit me, it bitch-slapped me many times by giving me a DJ from a kid's cartoon.

A DJ that loves loud stuff, alcohol, and things that go BOOM. Why life? Why would you do this?

Soarin' Highwind, the son of a Wonder Bolt. But when he's rejected from the 'bolts and nothing seems to be going his way, a small and seeming useless ring brings him to the crash sight of a legendary warrior. And he quickly finds that the universe is bigger than just Equestria

Now, undergoing training with the greatest of all Green Lanterns, Sunset Shimmer, Soarin' must help stop an ancient evil from tearing apart the universe and destroying trillions of lives.

The only question is will Soarin' fail? Or will he rise above all and become the colt without fear?

Everypony has known Derpy Hooves to be a Ponyville staple for as far back as they can remember. Their mail has always gotten delivered on time, at least as long as everypony can remember. But when Twilight Sparkle is doing some research for her upcoming book on the history of Ponyville, she comes to startling realization: nopony can actually recount when Derpy came to Ponyville, or why she came there to begin with.

And when Twilight goes to ask her, she finds she may not have been prepared after all, for the repercussions of her one simple question: Just who is Derpy Hooves... and how far is she prepared to go for the ones she loves?

Written for the May prompt, "the first time", for the now-revitalized Competition Arena. Rated just to be safe.

In times past, ponies would keep their fillies from being bad by telling them that if they didn't behave, Nightmare Moon would come back and get them. Of course, Nightmare Moon hasn't been back since the Elements of Harmony defeated her in Celestia's presence.

Twilight has had dreams of Nightmare Moon's return since her defeat, but she never thought they would actually come true. Then one day, she receives a rather odd visitor... And the chain of events to follow threatens to tear asunder everything that she holds dear.

(Takes place after A Canterlot Wedding. Also disregards events in the MLP graphic novels.)
