Sure, she's literally older than dirt, but nobody seems to want her around. Even when she finds something, it never lasts. Today, I solve that issue."

Equestria no longer needs their princesses, including Celestia. Their little ponies have grown up, reached the stars, and have left the nest. That left four ponies and one draconequus with little to do other than cause mischief. One of those ponies hasn't taken forced retirement well, and another has plans to fix that.

A Sci-Fi Twilestia adventure that a few people in the Twilestia Skype Chat group helped inspire me to write.

Celestia loves Twilight Sparkle. That is a fact, an indisputable constant of the universe. What that love means, however, is much less certain. The love of a teacher. The love of a friend. The love that Celestia dares not name. Every tick of the clock demands her answer, for while Celestia is timeless, Twilight is not.

Celestia has only a single lifetime to make her decision, but Twilight will wait. She always has, and she always will.

For as long as immortals have walked the planet they have had their own culture, rituals, and traditions. Of all these, the most sacred by far is the Bonding of Immortals, after which mortals modeled their marriages. Today Celestia and Twilight will take part in the Bonding of Immortals.

Celestia and Twilight have been together for many long and wonderful years. This night marks an anniversary of their time together, and Celestia has decided its a good night to move their relationship towards the next step.

Celestia was always a "family mare". She always held up families as one of the greatest social institutions in the country. She is famously good with children. All of Equestria looks to her almost like some great parental figure. But for some reason she has always been childless herself.

Perhaps it's time to change that. She is, after all, married to the most wonderful mare she had ever known.
